I don't think the small amount of break in's will even slow the prices down in Brier Creek. Its all "supply and demand". As long as people want to live there, the prices will continue to appreciate. New schools will come and when the demand is more than the supply...prices go up. As for appreciation, its pretty steady in that area. Vicki
Its a great neighborhood and yes, we have some nicer and some not so nice. Vicki
Thanks so much - all of you - for all your great feedback. What would be considered a nicer golf community that is appreciating as well or better in the Raleigh/Cary area?
You can look at Preston in cary. Wakefield Country Club in Wakefield Plantation. Another good one is The Preserve out at Jordan Lake. That is a really pretty course. I believe I have a list bookmarked with all the golf communities in the area. I will try to find that.
A word of caution...don't assume that just because you buy a home in a golf community that you automatically have joined the golf club! I'm pretty sure if you do a google search for golf course communities in Raleigh that you'll find a bunch! Its just that some of the clubs cost alot more to join than you would think. Vicki
I did a lot of research on Toll Brothers. Find DefraudedbyToll's post and see what he/she wrote under the North Carolina forum. Read what they wrote about Toll Brother's on this site, on the HADD site, etc. There are many good builders out there. Beware of Toll Brothers. I have read that when you sign their contract you are at risk for losing everything. It is truly an unethical company and the stories that I have read are horrific.
