Does any one know of any singles groups for Christians (40+) in Durham? There are great ones in Raleigh but I cannot find any in Durham and my church does not have one. I would love to meet fellow Christians for dinner, a movie, bowling, other social times on a regular basis in my own town.

Thanks!

A couple popped up on a Google search:

Name: One Generation (http://www.churchatthepark.org/bbc/ministries/singles_onegeneration.cfm?mnu=ministries - broken link) (College)
Sponsored by: Bethesda Baptist Church, 1914 S. Miami Blvd., Durham, North Carolina (NC) 27703
Contact (singles): Chris Dowd, Singles Pastor, (919) 596-2158 / email: pastorchris@churchatthepark.org

There is also a group on meetup.com:

Default Thanks

Thanks, CH.

I saw the one at Bethesda Baptist, but all the info on their website was from last year. And there was nothing about a group leader, meetings, regular events, etc.

I did do a search on CraigsList and Meetup and missed the group you found. But I'm not African American.

One approach might be to identify a few of the larger churches in Durham with which you might identify and contact their offices to see if they have or know of any such groups. I think most would be more than happy to help, whether you belong to that church or not.
