Hello,

I live around Glenwood ave and Lynn rd. I was trying to find a gym with swimming pool or just a swimming pool in the area. The closest ones I found are on six forks rd. or in Cary... Does anyone know if there is a swimming pool close by. Thanks a lot.

Springdale Area Recreation Club - Swimming, Tennis & Volleyball in Raleigh, North Carolina

Seven Oaks Swim & Racquet Club

These two are pretty close (no gym though).

Are you looking for an indoor pool? I think all the recommendations so far are for seasonal pools.

It is hard to find an indoor pool very close to you. The City of Raleigh operates Millbook Exchange Pool (in a bubble for winter) on Spring Forest Road, and Pullen Park Pool off Western Blvd. The YMCAs have indoor pools, but the closest to you is probably A E Finley on Baileywick, and that might be what you were referring to when you said "Six Forks."

The only other ones I know of are Impact Athletics and Triangle Aquatic Center, which as you mentioned, are in Cary.

Other than that, you may have to wait for summer and join one of the other pools mentioned.

Yes, I am looking for an indoor pool. I thought there is something at Brier Creek, or maybe some gym that I have missed in the area. There is gold's gym with swimming pool and YMCA on six forks, I might have to join one of them...

Millbrook Exchange Park has a great pool with extensive hours.
Gold's Gym at Six Forks/North Hills have indoor pools.
Optimist Park pool will be ready in the spring.
Seven Oaks is a seasonal pool.

All good replies. But I have a better one as far as cheap indoor pools nearby. Found this post a while back.

NC little foot

Believe it or not, but, The Marriott across from the crabtree Valley Mall has a workout room and access to the indoor pool and hot tub for around $175.00 for the year. While I was staying there one weekend I met a woman out side by the pool who told me she buys a membership for working out and using the pool. She said she loved it. They give her a key card and she goes in whenever she wants.

Here's another fitness center with indoor pool that isn't far;
Healthtrax*Raleigh, NC (http://www.healthtrax.com/club/scripts/section/section.asp?NS=RNC - broken link)

Between Old Lead Mine and Six Forks.
