What is going on with Bjs wholesale club? So many items are out of stock constantly. Produce, meets, cheeses, yogurts, paper supplies, pasta, tuna etc. Spoke to a friend up North and they mentioned the same thing. Must be a distribution issue with them. I am going to cancel my membership and sign back up when this covid junk is over. They offer 100% refund on membership.

I don’t know of any places allowing “meets” at this time. Maybe Wyoming where no one else is.

You answered your question in the 2nd to last sentence: “covid junk”

My wife went there last Saturday afternoon and found most of what she needed, but not everything. It's definitely hit or miss. Sam's Club is doing a little better than BJ's in regards to stock availability but they are also out of some items. Supposedly Costco is well stocked but we chose not to renew our membership this year because my wife hates driving down Wake Forrest Road plus the traffic increased after Wegman's opened.

^same reason I really don't want to even try getting a Costco membership. The traffic on WF road is horrendous.

To the OP, I've experienced the same issues with BJs in Brier Creek. There are some items it seems like they aren't even going to restock at all. I'd be a little more upset if my membership renewal hadn't been $25. I can't complain too much at that price. With the amount of milk that my family drinks, I think the savings on just that item pays for the membership.

I also did this on 4/11 (Sat am), as I had to also run up to Home Depot in Cary. It was around 10am so I thought I would miss out on most things. Turned out they still had pallets of TP and a 10% pallet of Clorox Wipes. Plenty of milk.

Maybe they re-stock heavily on Fri night, in aniticipation of increased weekend traffic?

I never drive WF Rd to Costco. I go down Atlantic and come in that way. Costco has been very well stocked every time I visit. It’s my fave place to shop in a pandemic. I like that they limit items and number of people in store. I am enjoying shopping there when it appears I have store all to myself.

Bear in mind it's not just BJs. A lot of those things have been hard to come by at supermarkets too, especially paper supplies and certain meets (sorry, I laughed )

Edited to add: still laughing
