I asked my alumni group and they said that many schools in the National Consortium of Secondary Specialized Schools choose not to be listed in the rankings, primarily because the algorithm is ranking based on things like AP testing and honors classes. At my high school neither were offered. We were able to take dual credits with the university we shared a campus with.
