We have a meetup that meets at Cameron Village Library once a month (on various week nights Monday through Thursday).

After the meetup, we go to a nearby restaurant or tavern at 9 pm to talk.

Our party is usually about 25 people.

We usually go to Village Draft House, but I cannot stand the noise level there.

Is there any quieter place in the area that stays open until midnight or later and can accommodate a party of 25+? We could perhaps go to Hillsborough Street if there is a place there.

We have tried Cameron Bar and Grill, but they close at 10 from Monday through Wed., which is too early.

Thanks for any suggestions!

Closing hours mean different things to different restaurants. Does the kitchen close at 10? Sometimes places that close at 10 have their kitchens close even earlier. If a restaurant kitchen closes at 10, they will probably be okay with your party staying past the hour. This might be especially true if you are bringing them the business of 25 people on quiet night. Have you talked to the manager of Cameron Bar and Grill? I think they might be open to you staying later if you don't mind them starting their closing procedures while you finish your evening.

Your best bet is probably the PR on Hillsborough street. They have a side dining room and it's not too loud on weeknights, unless there is an NCSU game.

Just to clarify, players retreat is on Oberlin, not Hillsborough (although it is close to Hillsborough.)

Yes. The right side dining room would be a good choice.

Yes they will sometimes let us stay until 11.

But other times they have declined completely to take a reservation for a group of 25 at 9 if they are busy.

But really we would like to stay maybe till midnight ideally.

In warmer weather, they will let us sit outside later but it is too cold for that right now.

Thanks.

Re Players' Retreat,

Super!

Thanks to all three of you suggesting Players Retreat!

It seems it may be open until 2 am which is great!
