There's just this one little section of Glenwood where there are probably 30+ cop cars lining the street on both sides. Why are there so many of them? What are they doing there? Why was there a mustange from Apex? It wasn't a checkpoint.
I heard on Facebook it was a checkpoint. Why do you think it wasn't a checkpoint?
Thirty cars are a lot of cars, though.
They didn't stop me or anyone else. The number of cars was amazingly overkill. And to have cops from other cities coming over to help made it that much more so.
It's pretty typical for officers from other police forces to come help with a checkpoint. Cary and/or Apex PD might help the Raleigh PD from time to time.
I saw a speed trap on Glenwood just west of Crabtree mall using laser speed guns. This was the very first time my radar detector has detected the use of laser guns in NC in the several years I've lived here. They must have some push going on to nab speeders, every few days or so.
