My rationale for buying $$$ Tiki cat brand cat food for this feral/ stray is that the cat lives outside and needs premium cat food to give him/ her a fighting chance. I even go to drop off food at the parking lot on my off days (20 minute drive). My colleagues think I’m wasting gas going on my off days and $$$ buying premium cat food just for the slim chance that I somehow trap this cat.
I think that's awesome and hope all goes well.

Thank you for seeing the humor in this. I mean, yes, it's sort of awful but come on, it's also sort of funny!

But I have a dark sense of humor so there's that. I mean, it wasn't funny at the time but it is to me now. In a macabre sort of way.

I was talking with a customer yesterday who was telling me about how she has to have a king sized bed because FOUR cats always lay on top of her at night. FOUR. Now, these cats love her husband, but for some reason, they prefer to sleep on her. He does have a small female cat, who loves the wife by the way, who sleeps beside him. But these other four cats sleep on top of her every night. And they are hot. I can relate.

This huge cat of mine also slept on top of me every single night too. EVERY. SINGLE. NIGHT. In fact, my husband would always say "Cato, assume the position," and he'd assume the position on top of me. I have no idea why.

He would also suck on my quilt in one spot so I have a little spot on my quilt to this day that he left there. Just one spot. He would kneed the quilt and suck on that one spot. And yes, I let him, because good luck trying to stop him.

At one point, I decided that he needed to go on a diet so I tried cutting back on his food. I mean, it worked with the dogs, so why not with the cat, right? WRONG. All he did for TWO DAYS was wrap himself around my feet, everywhere I went, caterwauling for more food. Finally I said "Alright, already. Stay fat. Have a heart attack. At least you'll die with a full stomach."

He was so weird. But I did love him in spite of his oddities!

My FWP today is that though I sort of want to go to church, my allergies are so incredibly bad that I can't stop sneezing long enough to even get dressed! So I'm staying home. And by "home," I mean IN THE DANG HOUSE. Which is sort of boring but oh well. At least I don't have to go to work.

Tsk tsk, Nancy. Sorry you don't see the dark humor in it. But I'll take your comments into consideration.

OK true story time:

I had two dogs that had to be put down over the years. They went peacefully, in my arms. So I was expecting that same sort of experience when my old, old, fat, fat cat got really sick. I took him to the vet, who confirmed that it was his time to go. Do you think HE went peacefully, in my arms? No way. He caterwauled and fought and got all stiffened up and acted out till the very moment of death. It was very unnerving.
This is not funny. People come here to read the posts to get a good laugh or just enjoy what other people say. This was horrible and it's sad to realize you did not put it here by accident

I find lady preachers distracting (though I am all for them in theory) so I didn't "go to church" today.

Now I have guilt too!

LOL I find "lady" preachers distracting too! And I sure don't need them preaching at me. Or want them preaching at me.

I am sorry you have guilt on top of everything else!

Hey maybe you should become Catholic - no "lady preachers" at all. LOL

Hey everyone! Haven't been here in a while.

This is not my first world prob, but I read it today and I can so relate. OK, this guy was talking about old board games etc... he was naming all of my old favs - monopoly, Life, blah blah blah.........what I so loved, was when he said he didn't love the game ....Operation. He said the buzzer didn't work on his when he was a child, so they had to play using the honor system! I love that so much!!! I mean HONESTLY, does that not sum up childhood in the 70's a little bit? Ha! Hope everyone is doing well!

Ha! I spent so many summer afternoons on my front porch playing Life and Monopoly and Clue with my friends. Remember the little cars with the little blue or pink thingies you put into the holes for the game of Life? Bet they've changed that now.

OK so here's my FWP for today:

I am not going to go to aerobics this morning because my nose is so stopped up and my eyes are watering so much that I can't put on any makeup. I don't wear MUCH makeup in the class but I do wear a little and sheeze, I can't even put any on!
