Somewhere in the vast database your location at that time is recorded as "In Toilet".

I am sure!

All I can say is THANK THE LORD that the toilet had just been flushed. So when I thrust my hand quickly into that water, at least I didn't have to physically navigate unmentionables.

Funny thing: After my husband and I put it in a bag of rice, and lo and behold a little while later it started working again, my husband said, "OK, so like...we're going to throw that rice away, right? I mean, that phone has been in a toilet."

Yes, dear. We are throwing that rice away.

One of CD's best threads.
I agree 100%. It's the first one I come to in the morning when I visit City Data.

Okay as a person who likes even numbers I have to ask. Why 23 degrees and not 24 or 22?

Interesting. I guess since I have an interest in gasoline pricing and oil companies encourage odd-number pricing, i.e. $2.779 as opposed to $2.769 or $2.789 my mind gravitates towards odd number. Also when forming committees it is traditional to seek and odd number in order to avoid tie votes.

Though it does occur to me that any germs would be killed by the boiling of the rice. Still...nyahhhhh...

My wife was poised to by a pair of shoes at the clearance rack of a Bass shoe outlet. The item rang at $100; hardly clearance or outlet pricing.

Yes. The search will look for the keywords. And those keywords are apple and pie.
You can try to narrow it down by selecting just few forums where you expect to find the apple pie, like Food Forum or Recipes. Still, it's a fairly common topic, so you will see many threads...

My pool vacuum hose is looped over itself, making a knot, so I now need to jump in.
