I had one slice of bread with peanut butter last night. Fixed it.

That sounds delightful. If I ever make it to HI will you show me where to snorkle with turtles?

Well, if we are going to gripe about the weather--we are having a very cool spring. My daylilies are not even in full bloom, nor my Shastas. The mornings are so cool and overcastish, I turn on the gas fireplace for awhile to feel better. The clouds clear about 3pm, and we get afternoon and evening sun. But the posies would obviously prefer morning sun.

And while we are at it, ever since I had my Peace rose transplanted, it has sulked. If it does not come out of its sulk and bloom properly this year, it is going to be dug up and thrown into the yard waste bin.

And, I bought new everyday china a few months ago, and we are enjoying using it. It is beautiful to my eyes and it is lovely to hold as well. DH griped rather vehemently today about the fact that we "only" have 6 coffee mugs, and that he has to constantly run the dishwasher to keep our supply of clean cups available for our various hot beverages. He tends to grab my mug, which I have set down for only a moment, dump out my coffee or tea, and dishwash it. I wander around saying, "Where is my coffee mug?" a lot.

So, in first world fashion, I ordered us two more mugs today.

There are only two of us. You would think 6 mugs would be plenty. But apparently, you would be wrong.

I spent 6 hours toiling in the hot sun two weeks ago digging out all the weeds in the flower beds. Well guess what? They're baaaaack and all the flowers I planted in there are dying despite being watered. We are having a very dry June which is very unusual and I think the intensity of the heat without our normal afternoon rainstorms are killing them.

I think I'm just going to rip them all out and throw some wild flower seeds down like I did last year in the bed. They looked beautiful with minimal care.

Gardening is sort of like raising kids, no? It’s always something.

Just bought my car six months ago. Now, I haven't actually used a key in the ignition in about eight or more years - I just keep a key fob in my purse. So GET THIS - I got a message on my dash saying "Replace Key Battery." WHAT THE HECK. I didn't even really know they HAD batteries. I mean, I never look at my vehicle key.

So, I just drove down to the dealership and said, "I am getting a message on my dash about my key battery" and just stood there. Yes, I did have to actually go in and talk to real people, which was sort of a pain, but when I just stood there looking blankly at them for a bit, someone finally said, "We can fix that for you," and bingo, they replaced the key battery right there. For free. But I bet if I hadn't just stood in front of them looking at them blankly like, "DO. SOMETHING. ABOUT. THIS. KEY." they would have charged me, or told me they had to order a new key for $135 or something like that and it would be in in a week to ten business days.

I've discovered that paragraphing every single sentence is just as annoying to read as never paragraphing at all.

Ooops!

I am post First World, meaning that though I have a washer and dryer, and though I am not particularly worried about the electricity bill, I hang laundry outside to dry when possible.

Yesterday it was so incredibly humid that it took all day long for my cotton sheets to dry! ALL. FREAKING. DAY. LONG.

I don't like doing any work after, oh, say 6 pm. And it takes at least fifteen minutes to make up my tall, king size bed! Toil and trouble, toil and trouble...And it was so muggy that then I got sweaty. What the heck.

When I sync my phone to my computer, 109 of my 7900 tunes didn't make it to the phone.

My HAIR takes all day to dry naturally in our humidity. You know the thing where you do a bunch of twists and sleep on your hair and wake up with beautiful curls?

Me either because my hair never dries.
