Nah he'll go to bed in about 30 min
This happens every night. My DVC is telling me that now he knows I'm leaving he could get physically violent too. I really don't care if he does and I'm not concerned about it.
Seriously? You should be concerned. If he hurts you, what is going to happen to your kids? How do you know they are off limits? Are you still, as in right now, in contact with your DVC? You are the bad guy now, in his eyes, and whatever happens, as usual, will be your fault (in his eyes).

He would never hurt them. I do agree to everything else you're saying but I won't do anything without it being planned.
Ok, but he is hurting them just by the way he is treating you. Imagine if you saw someone doing that to your mother. Hopefully he is in bed now. Or close.

I know and that why I'm trying to get out. It's a delicate balance. School work and trying to be civil. it's so hard because his moods are all over the place going from calm to irate.
It went pretty smooth. I did it on a weekend he was working. My family rallied around me and took the entire weekend off and help us get out of there. I had friends encouraging me. It was heart warming and encouraging.
My older daughter is having a hard time as she doesn't want to leave my side. We have a schedule set up for who has kids and my older daughter doesn't want to go with him.
I'm setting up an appointment to go to family therapy.

Congratulations to you!
Because of the way he treated you all these years, expect to have some doubts about your decision, but don't give in to them. You've done the right thing.
