Michael Vick signs two-year deal with Philadelphia Eagles - ESPN

Quarterback Michael Vick has signed a two-year deal with the Philadelphia Eagles, his agent, Joel Segal, confirmed to ESPN.com.
Vick was the No. 1 draft pick in 2001, and once the highest-paid player in football. But he has not played since 2006 when his career came tumbling down. He was convicted in August 2007 of conspiracy and running a dogfighting operation, sentenced to 23 months in federal prison and suspended indefinitely by the NFL.
But after serving his time and being released from home confinement July 20, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell conditionally lifted Vick's suspension, allowing him to sign with a team.

What Vick did was very bad but he's not going to be locked up for life so I hope he has learned his lesson and can now be a productive and law abiding citizen for the rest of his life. People have done worse to people and gotten far less strict punishment than Vick did for dog fighting and related activities.

True, but I'm trying to get through the irony of this...never expected him to land here. But based on all the injuries we have, he's a viable option.

I wonder how the fans will take him?

He's a vile human being for what he did. I sincerely doubt that he is sorry for what he did, only that he got caught.

Nah Homey!!!

He paid his dues.

There are people right now in the League that were involved or actually killed someone. (God Knows)

I love Animals.

In my Opinion Humans are more important.

True,

I think there would have been uproar if Stallworth didn't get his suspension. That jail sentence was a joke.

DUI.

I love Stallworth, he decided to drive drunk.

Unfortunately he killed a man. (Human)

He has to pay the price of doing what he did.

He really got off my mans. No jail time!!!

Yeah he did.

What I was saying is when you look at what he did vs Vick, and what his sentence compared to Vick, had he been allowed to play ball this year, it would have been some outrage.
