You take the comment out of context.
Please re-read.

All hail Galactus.

BTW, did you realize that if you mix the cases and shift all the letters in "Galactus" 7.25 letters to the right, they spell "Corporation"?

Got a chuckle to read a snippet in the paper the other day that the Occupy Portland webside disabled their comments section.

Power to the people (... unless they don't like what you say!)

Yeah, because the forums on their site work better then the comments did and make it easier to get points across.

As I predicted earlier, the Occupy Wallstreet Movement has morphed into an organization that does have a clear and organized agenda: Occupy-Inspired Protesters Lobby In Washington : NPR

Their web site is here, from their site:

"Q: What is this event all about?

A: For far too long, Congress has been catering to the 1% instead of representing the 99%. In December, Congress will vote on whether to renew unemployment insurance benefits—if they don’t, more than 2 million people will lose all income in January. They’ll also be deliberating other important budget and tax measures that could have an impact on the 99% for generations to come. Now more than ever, Congress needs to see us and hear us.

People have set up multiday encampments in Washington, D.C., during times of crisis before—it’s what the veterans did to protest their poor treatment after World War I—and it made a difference."

Complaining is hardly an organized agenda.

Complaining is how a democracy works though.

I still think they need a face, a good candidate to represent the movement (granted that's a tall order for a pretty fragmented, confused movement)

Yet it's how every revolution and social change started.

If you're going to be talking about groups elsewhere, shouldn't this go to the politics forum?

Um, no. The thread is/was about Occupy Portland. If someone wants to talk about groups elsewhere, they should go to the appropriate forum.
