80% say the economy is bad, 61% say the country is on the wrong track. On the economy and jobs, his approval ratings are tanking.

Poll Finds Americans Pessimistic, Dissatisfied with Washington - Political Hotsheet - CBS News

Quote:
Mr. Obama’s overall approval rating is 47 percent.
It was 51 in the last poll.

Quote:
Americans no longer say he shares their priorities for the country.
Quote:
The percentage that says Mr. Obama shares their priorities has fallen to 45 percent, a drop of 13 points from October. The percentage who says he does not has risen to 47 percent, up from 38 percent seven months ago.
7 in 10 are unhappy with Washington and both parties get low marks. But since the democrats control the congress and WH, let's hope that translates into a "change".

And yet the libs keep championing their idols. It's high time for REAL change come November.

If you look at the partisan split CBS used, it is much more accurate between the republicans and democrats, independents are over sampled a bit though.

BUT, when CBS weights the sample, they take almost 4 point from the R sample and increase Indies by about the same.

And that still does not help obama.

Right Both major parties will trot out their career political hacks, the only difference between them being who they're owned by, and the only change will be in the imagination of those who vote for the ins

The final result is the people still lose.

You are mostly right, although with the very high anti-incumbent sentiment in our country right now, there's a smidgen of hope.

As I stated before in a thread of the same name, Barack Obama Has Forever Neutralized the Terms "Hope" and "Change."

I hope liberals got their money's worth, because the writing is on the wall. And it says "YOU SCREWED UP."

He's doing a fine job if you ask me. Even if they take the House in November there is a victory that the GOP can never take away: Passing the Health Care Bill. I still don't think they will take the House though, sorry.

Actually a dramatic change in favor of Republicans come November is Obama's only hope to save his presidency. As arrogant as he is he's not going to change direction unless forced to. And if he doesn't change direction the economy will sink him in 2012.
