Hope this holds true, and it likely will, as long as the President and Congressional Dems keep the pedal to the metal.

Here's the GOOD news:

Quote:
For all the talk this year of the enthusiasm gap between Democrats and Republicans, the gulf appears to have evaporated. Midterms are nearly always a referendum on the incumbent party, so that's huge news for Democrats.
This poll is for real. I'm a Democrat who was questioning whether I'd even vote this November. No enthusiasm at all....That's all changed now...thanks to the teabaggers!!

The Dems need a slogan to keep their eye on the ball, "Remember Massachusetts". They certainly dropped the ball there, hope they don't repeat that.

If this is what Democrats consider good news

When asked if it would be a "good thing" if control of Congress switched from Democrats to Republicans this year, 36 percent of registered voters said yes, 34 percent said it would be a bad thing, and 29 percent said it didn't really matter to them. While that mightn't look like good news per se, the comparison to 2006, where Democrats won in a landslide and assumed control on Congress, is telling.

Then I feel sorry for you guys.. The numbers from 2006 hold no relevance because the comparison is flawed and the question is meaningless. One needs to know where those polled answered what to have meaning.

If those polled come from states thinking the swich would be good where the seat isnt being contested, or has little chance to switch parties, then this is good for Democrats.

If those polled come from states thinking the switch would be good where the seats are being contested, this is very bad news.

Just more Democrats getting their news source from bloggers without digesting the facts

Their next slogan will be "Forget November 2010" or "The End is Near". The poll most likely came from the white house kbg!!

Do you approve or disapprove of the way the U.S. Congress is doing its job? Do you approve/disapprove strongly or somewhat?

strongly approved dropped to 7% while strongly disapproved skyrocketed to 54%

Approved total at 25%, disapproved total, 72%

This is positive?

Ummmmm.....WaPo poll? In order to get those kind of numbers, they skewed the sample so much, it would be hard to avoid it.

10% gap between democrats and republicans.
