What did you think he meant? Do you think he literally meant it's about exactly at 50% for 8 straight months? Good grief.

A far, far cry from his high of 70%.
This is what happens when you put a piece of poop into the mouths of Americans and tell them it's a Hot Dog with relish and onions. Soon we will be making room for President Biden to finish out there 4 years, and then we can move on to the future based on proven practices, policies and attitudes with grown ups running things.

It's still going to be a jobless recovery thanks tp a President hell-bent on accelerating the outsourcing trend which his party bears 100% responsibility for thanks to their three most important political bases..

Trial lawyers

Unions

Environmentalists

As long as he continues to promote and sign job-killing bills left and right (health care bill, stricter CAFE standards, etc.) as well as the fact that gas prices will skyrocket soon as he continues to destroy the dollar, this economy is still on life-support.

Yep, they are trying their best to prop up obama's failed policies with "encouraging" news.
The signs of economic recovery are broad enough that just about all economists agree on them. So you're pretty much wasting your time if you're trying to be super-partisan on that one.

The question is how strong the recovery will be and how long it will last. That's a more open debate.

Also, you should know that in economic theory and in history, it is a well-known phenomenon for economic indicators to improve before employment starts to pick up. Unemployment rate is generally a lagging indicator, not a leading indicator for economic recoveries. This may sound counterintuitive; if so, all I can say is that you should pick up an economics textbook.

So there is nothing necessarily "partisan" about the economic recovery - it just is what it is.
