They are already have a place...it's called the privacy of their home.
So they shouldn't be able to hold hands in public?
A peck on the cheek before going back to their jobs after lunch?
Attend functions as a couple?
In that case, I would like to see zero touching at all between heterosexual couples and that includes holding hands and hugging. After all, they can do that in the privacy of their own homes.
You are no different that the people you call the American taliban. You and they are trying to impose your morality. You think by calling Christians the American taliban, that some how marginalizes them. The fact you choose to do that makes your morality no better.
One side chooses faith as morality and your side uses no faith as morality. Both sides are trying to impose their standards of morality. So when you call one side the American taliban for trying to impose their morality you are not doing anything different when you try to impose your morality. Name calling just shows the desperation you will go to impose yours.
I am different because I would not deny attendance to Christian Evangelicals at a prom. I don't agree with the fundamentalist Christian Evangelical views but I'm not going to deny attendance to an Evangelical because I disagree with their views. On the other hand, Evangelicals are denying someone admission to a prom because they disagree with their personal views. This is why you are the Christian version of the Taliban. If I was acting like you guys, I wouldn't allow you and other Evangelicals to attend prom because then I would be imposing my morality on you. Christian Evangelicals are not the only group whose beliefs oppose homosexuality. However, these other anti-homosexuality groups are not functioning like a Taliban like Evangelicals because they are not imposing their anti-homosexuality beliefs on the public.

I think that both girls could have found male dates, and then switched partners at the prom (if there's two gay girls, must be at least two gay guys in their class too).
Instead of making a big deal out of it getting the news involved.
Just more pro-homo-propaganda going around because of it.
You'd be right, if she wasn't told that she would be kicked out if she was found with her partner at the prom.

The prom is canceled for all not for one group.
They being all the kids and parents can get together rand have any type of prom they want. everyone is being denied admission to the school sponsored prom their is not one.
would you deny a group of KKK members wearing their hoods entrance to a prom.
The continued hate torwards Christians as in Christians are blame for everything, Christians are not lopping people heads off on video.Christians are not training their young to strap bombs on themselves and kill others. Yet the continue date for someone because they live by a standard that they have every right to live by is ludicrous. This is America , if you want to be Christian and practice your religion it so your right to do so
If you a Mormon and want to practice and live by your religious standards you should be free to without being harassed by atheist
I do not see atheists going after Muslims with the hate i see for Christians.
The school did what it had a right to do cancel it, the kids and parents can have their own prom set how they want.
They must have signs on the streets that say "No Gays Allowed" or how would you even know that???????
Seriously? Unless you live in a bubble, a cave, or under a rock, of course you know what peoples opinions are about social issues where you live. Whether or not certain parts of the country are more bigoted, or whether people in those areas are more inclined to voice their bigoted opinions is unclear, but people certainly like to voice their homophobic slurs where I live. I also have kids who come home and ask about things they have heard from other kids in school, such as "Are Aunt Barbara and Aunt Vickie (who have been together 36 years) bad people. Will says they are going to hell."

If you live in an area for any lengthy period of time and require street signs to figure out the political inclinations and biases of the people around you, you probably can't read a street sign anyways.
Exactly.
