Obama's Accomplishments?

Interesting article. Who will his supporters blame, the minoroity party or the party with all 3 branches in control?

Health care? His best hope now is a Senate plan that would leave millions still uninsured, dashing his promise of universal health care, and even that may already be out of reach.

Legislation to fight global warming? Stalled in the Senate .

Forging peace in the Middle East ? Hasn't been able to get the region's adversaries in the same room, let alone close to agreement.

Ending venomous partisanship? Washington is more polarized than ever.

Leading his party to an enduring majority? Right now, it's heading in the other direction.

Obama's chance to be next FDR or Reagan fading fast - Yahoo! News (http://news.yahoo.com/s/mcclatchy/20100212/pl_mcclatchy/3425683 - broken link)

Does one get bonus points or a free pizza for every thread opened on Obama or Palin?

This would be his most notable accomplishment! Not only Washington, but the whole country is more polarized than ever. This was not the image he projected on his campaign.

Chicago cram down politics on a national stage.

I don't think that is Obama's fault. The hate for him started long before he was in charge. It is largely based on Republicans being bad losers and people looking for simplistic solutions offered by hateful people like Limbaugh and Beck.

Gee Wiz people you are so very HARSH.
Lets review the situation when Obama took office:

1 Housing crises
2 Largest financial crises EVER in this country
3 Trillion dollar deficits
4 Two Wars
5 A Social Security and Medicare program that WILL BANKRUPT THE COUNTRY
6 Congress in denial about their roll in all of this, which no matter what party you want to defend they were at the wheel when Bush was President. Congress has become so polarized that everyday is election day and they can't get anything done!!!

So, I think Obama and his team are doing a good job and we need to be patient. These things do not change overnight or in a year. It took Bush and Congress 8 years to get us this Screwed Up, and will take time to iron things out.

President Obama is smart and has been taking advice from some very smart people, like Volcher, Warran and Gates. Geitner is tough, and he needs to be. I am very glad that Gates is still our Defense Secretary. I think radical changes are coming to the Tax Code and WEALTHY people are Oil Companies are going to see many tax breaks go away. I do believe when change happens it will be that Oil Companies will have to spend more on alternate sources of energy.

The Banks are not going to get away with what they have done, that I am certain of. The Wars in Iraq and Afghanistan will end, the housing market will rebound, and we will all have jobs again, but not without some serious CHANGES IN WASHINGTON.

Look, it isn't fair to blame everything on him, but we have seen absolutely zero improvement in the economy, housing, jobs, anything. And he's had an entire year with a supermajority. Seriously, when is this going to stop being Bush's economy

Wake up, the US had to go down, just like Europe, regardless of the leadership. And both continents will continue to go down relative to the emerging regions of the world. It is only natural, the comfortable dream / illusion couldn't go on forever...

And with attitudes like that it's no wonder Europe is what it is.
