Jenny Sanford: Governor asked her advice on affair - Yahoo! News (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100202/ap_on_re_us/us_sc_governor_s_wife - broken link)
In a new memoir about her husband's affair, South Carolina first Lady Jenny Sanford writes that Mark Sanford sought her advice about his romance and how to deal with the media after she discovered his extramarital relationship.

Gotta admit one thing. He has Balls. Big, Huge Balls. If I'd a done that, I'd probably be trying to remove the frying pan indentation from my forehead right now.
Vapid human beings, the lot of em'. Unintelligent, drunk by the mere pursuit of power, these people don't even have real relationships. I mean: what kind of self-respecting woman writes a book about this kind of family betrayal?
"Jenny Sanford is best known for the one role she refused to play—that of conventional political spouse standing silently by while her husband went before the media and confessed his infidelity. Instead, she stayed true—to herself, to her faith, and to her highest ideals of parenthood and public service. She chose to let Mark Sanford deal with the embarrassment and political fallout from his own actions while focusing her own efforts privately on raising their children to be men of character, even in the face of the lies their father has told."

He makes me sick and I think he is mentally ill to tell you the truth. At least this republican does not circle wagons around the dopes that do these things. Wished the democrats would eat some of their own as well.
Downright pitiful. A totally CLUELESS man, and he's GOVERNOR of SC. This isn't some third world country, why do we have third world bumpkins in office?
I don't think it's a case of him having big balls. It's a case of him being a total fool who has relied upon his wife's advice for years; it was JENNY who was his political advisor and prodded him to pursue office. Mark is just an idiot.
Just as bad is John Edwards. I never did like him, not even in 2004; I said then that he was just another slick talking southern pretty boy with a crap-eating grin that was hiding something.
The REAL sadness in all of this is that THESE TWO morons were both being considered for POTUS. If this is the best that both parties can put before us, we're in big trouble.
