The body count doesn't matter, the proof does. That's because we live in America.

They already admitted they did this. What more do you want?

FrontPage Magazine - What I Saw at Gitmo (http://97.74.65.51/readArticle.aspx?ARTID=8132 - broken link)

Meals for detainees are ample: we lunched on what several thought was an accumulated single day’s ration for detainees. “No,” the contract food service manager said with a laugh, “what you’re looking at there is today’s lunch. A single meal. They get three a day like that.” The vegetables, pita bread, and other well-prepared food filled two of the large Styrofoam take-home containers we see in restaurants. Several prisoners have special meal orders like “no tomatoes” or “no peanut products” depending on taste or allergies. “One prisoner,” General Hood said, “throws back his food tray if it contains things he has specifically said he doesn’t want.” How is he punished for this outrageous behavior? His tray is numbered, the food he requested is put on it, and the corrected “order” is delivered to his cell.

Your response is about the same as the contemptable response that the Rheinhard Heydrich gave to Red Cross vistors about how well inmates at Tereisenstadt were trested. They were well feed and we even give them art supplies and musical instruments so they can do their work or make music. It is not relevant whether the prison food was tasty or the quarters were clean. The issue is failing to present charges to the prisoners and after five six seven even eight years we havent even been able to conduct the military kangeroo courts to press these charges. What part of humanity do these bastards lack? Why is it taking so long? Could it be there is no real case and we are ashamed to admit it? America was created because we rebelled against Britain for doing to us what we are doing to the Gitmo detainees and there was a General Hood in George III's service too.

Some definitions of these anonymous "they." "They" who we have already released, admitting "they" spent years in prison for no crime? "They" like the Australian who, after spending years in Gitmo, was released to his government and placed on house arrest? "They" like the Uighers who, after years in Gitmo, were determined to have no connection with any terrorist activities and had to be resettled in... Guam? "They" who were actual terrorists and waterboarded 267 times in 3 months? (What would you claim to have done given this level of torture?)

The best we have done, in ****ting all over 200 years of American jurisprudence, is to convict Bin Laden's driver, as if Al-Qaeda drove a limo through the world trade center.

Yes, I would certainly like to know who "they" are.

The handfull who make up the "they" are a small percentage of those being held. Most have been released without a charge. So "we" held them for years without ever charging them of anything, much less terrorism.

In April 2003, the New York Times published a story noting that, according to military officials, “only a small number of the detainees are members of al Qaeda,” with the rest most likely being “nobodies.”

Only 8 percent of detainees at Guantanamo were labeled by the Defense Department as “al Qaeda fighters,” and just 11 percent had been captured “on the battlefield” by coalition forces from the data provided by the pentagon in 2007.

We even held for 5 years a Russian, who was in a Taliban jail when 'captured' by US Forces.

Did you ever check out the amount of people who Saddam KILLED or the innocent people the insurgents killed?

For some reason the appeasers count every death as being cause by our military and that is wrong.

Do you remember the idiot Jack Murtha D from Pa who called them killers and murderers in cold blood? The idiot was wrong, they were proven innocent but yet no one demanded he apologize to them and the military. I know they were a different type of innocent right?

Why do liberals defend someone who wants to kill you? What is it about them the dems love so much?

So now I know why the dems want this trial in NYC, you are not interested in knowing the facts, you are only interested in making sure America looks like the criminals.

Nothing to fear, Obama and the moron Holder already screwed this trial up by being a dumbass and saying they will be found guilty and sentenced to death. They will use this against the prosecution, wait and see.

How stupid can you be to say this BEFORE THE TRIAL?
1. I was referring the U.S. Army

2. I know innocent people die in a war, but not when you bomb them just because you get suspicious from their village and mostly that die are always women and children, from all these drones these innocent people faced, the U.S. are yet to succeed.

3. I know Saddam and the insurgents did kill a lot of people but this dosent mean we give a blind eye to the massacres the U.S. committed in Iraq and Afghanistan.

5. ??

6. Exactly, why is the government not punishing these soldiers who commited their crimes on purpose and you cant really deny that because these soldiers most of the time know who they're going to kill, they're not blind so sometimes they just kill innocent people on purpose.

7. Im not being stupid, but you have the proof on these 7 vids so figure it out.

I'll bite, too. Who are "they"? All of the Gitmo detainees have admitted to committing terrorist acts?

Have some respect, dont call these people animals, because human beings are all equal to each other no matter what, your not better than them nor they're better than you, we are the same, we are all equal. Just because some of them were black and their religious beliefs were diffrent that dosen't mean you have the right to call them animals.

These people say the truth because they were arrested without charges, and they got tortured from the soldiers to say the truth and they admitted the truth by saying they had no links with any terrorist organization but they still got tortured, these guards should be punished for what they did. Try to be more open minded, these people suffered because of their religious beliefs.

Sami Al Hajj was a reporter for Al Jazeera who had nothing to do with AQ and he got arrested and tortured for no reason. The Chadian guy was called the N word by the american guards, these guards tried to make these people like their slaves even though they were innocents, honestly how rasict can these guards get.

Just answer this question, today if a group of muslims today opened a jail similar to Guantanamo bay and took innocent americans and tortured them for 7 years without any charges how would you feel, how would the Americans in general feel?
