I'm not surprised at all. Another really dumb aspect of this is the fact that the Gitmo detainees are basically quarantined and that they are grown men who are in the lowest risk group.
The people who made this decision are the people who would be in charge of the American medical care system.

while I do agree that they should be put on the bottom of the list when there is a shortage:

1. Both video clips used the word "could", as in I get the impression that the decision hasn't been made yet.

2. It also doesn't say when they will be offered. As in, the vaccine takes time to make. All the shortage discussions are talking about right now. If they get the vaccine in January and there isn't a shortage then, well I have no problem with it.

basically, i need more information before I can form an opinion.

I last heard that it was NO for the gitmo folks.

But Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Citi and the Fed all have them.
The banksters have their vaccines.

And those evil Gitmo folks, like those 6 Uihgers (sorry on the spelling) who have been held at Gitmo for 8 years and found not to be any terrorist threat, that were repatriated to some Guam or Somoa or some other obscure islands--my tax dollars paid to have them held for 8 years? And they were innocent of terrorism charges? I am a helluva lot more bent over that then giving flu shots to other guys at Gitmo who may be similarly falsely incarcerated. Do you know that we still operate off a 99 year lease payable in gold that Cuba refuses every year? Gitmo is a shame and a perversion of the American justice system. If these people did something, bring them to America and givem the chair. But to hold them in territory outside of the US is the kind of chicken **** dictator bull that we have done a good job of rooting out. Evidently we've learned too well from the dictators we've conquered.
