An earlier poster has made the point that Gitmo Terrorists are 'presumed' enemy combatants. Their only crime is being middle eastern and in a war zone. Some weren't even in a war zone. Most evidence is circumstantial. In NYC young black men are picked up by the thousands and held on Riker's Island for trial. Were it not for a law that says that they must be tried within one year most of them would rot there for the 8 years that some of the Gitmo detainee's have been incarcerated. Many of these kids serve 8 or 9 months or longer for 'crimes' that would only have received 90 day sentences and/or probation. Nevertheless, because they are 'presumed innocent' under our system of law, they are entitled to medical, dental and psychological care. Entertainment, religious or spiritual fulfillment and other civil amenities. Including flu shots. I don't know what percentage of Gitmo detainee's are innocent but it is for sure likely that a significant amount of them are. A very significant amount. Making some flu vaccine available doesn't even come close to balancing out the incredible blot on America's record that is the very existence of that prison.
