I don't get it. What is a sex addict, in your opinion? Simply having a sexual relationship outside of one's marriage?

For people who are sex-positive, I highly recommend this monthly newsletter from Marty Klein:

Sexual Intelligence, written and published by Marty Klein, Ph.D.

If, on the other hand, you're quick to label people as "sex addicts" and think that sex is dirty and something to be ashamed of, I don't think you'll enjoy reading it, but it would probably be good for your mental health if you did.

No, I think wanting sex most of the time, and being willing to accept it even more of the time makes one an addict. As such, that is what most men are and want. Its more than basic biology, most male mammals are the same. Heck, Id imagine most male vertebates are the same.

Substitute 'sex' with 'alcohol/drugs/smoking/eating/etc' and you still have an addict.

I think that Tiger Woods is a walking petrie dish by now. Disgusting! Elin should be very worried about STDs.

So do you think it was a matter of lacking morals?

Or they're just human? (Being a man?)

Or being supremely arrogant?

....?

That is one of the hallmark behaviors of sex addicts. They thrive on adrenaline and risk and flirt with danger, e.g. sex with strangers, sex without condoms.

Tiger Woods is another adulterer with uncontrolled libido.

Question 1: Do you think JFK and Tiger Woods are sex addicts that need treatment or just lack morals?

Question 2: Which one do you respect and admire more/less?
Thanks for the LOL!

Well that's just incorrect. In fact, the American Psychiatric Association doesn't even recognize "sex addiction" as a diagnosable disorder. It's a term that is used by the media to make headlines more exciting, and by sex-negative people to try to make others feel bad about their sexual interests.

I think it's up to the individuals involved to figure that out for themselves.

I don't know. JFK had his staff bring him a woman at least once a day. And some news reporter from the time recalls having dinner with JFK, RFK and their father, and JFK and RFK were asking the reporter to make arrangements to find a woman for Dad while he was in town. Family trait.
