They are all vastly different from one another so you can't group them together. Bill O'reilly is well spoken and a centrist. He is not a right wing nut job like Beck. O'reilly, for example, dismissed the birthers and properly stated that birthers undermine conservatives and the Republican party.
Again, it was not a lie - he owned up to the fact that what he said was factually wrong then mentioned other atrocities committed by the US after Malmedy, see Dachau massacre - if you are a historian on WWII then you well know that atrocities occurred on all sides - before and after Malmedy and his statement is factually correct.
I say again - tell me in that statement where he 'lied' - should I define it for you again? or will you continue to cheapen the word by using it incorrectly?
Again, Dachau had absolutely nothing to do with what O'Reilly was talking about. He either told an outright lie about American soldiers murdering Nazi SS troops at Malmedy or he is so pig ignorant as to be beyond belief.
I'm guessing he's a liar, but I suppose it's possible he is just simply unbelievably stupid.
Actual atrocities didn't occur with great frequency on 'all sides', as you state. There were instances where individual soldiers or small groups lost control in the heat of battle and committed things that we would consider war crimes in the cold light of peace time. There is nothing that in any way modifies the long litany of war crimes committed by German SS units - including the Malmedy massacre.
Again, I don't understand why either Reilly or his supporters persist in this trashing of American soldiers. I just don't get it.

I dont think he really is especially conservative. He certainly doesnt have any class or honor, which I think a truly good (conservative or liberal) commentator should have.... He doesnt seem as smart as Limbaugh or as... natural as Beck, who seems to be a sort of savant... but he does speak to that disgruntled older middle-manager in the traffic jam, I think. OTOH he gets War on Christmas duty every year and those MM folks seem brighter than that, so I dont know.
