How long has Obama been in office?

Seriously....

As I recall, we had plenty of layoffs when Bush was in office.

Layoffs under Bush administration among highest in U.S. history - The NewStandard

obama has put his effort into bailing out 5 international banks at the expense of everything else. this is NOT going to turn the economy around!

instead, this government is trying to HIDE the losses and this will not work, as they are trying to build on a shifting house of sand! we have thrown billions of dollars away just on the bankruptcy of CIT group alone!!!

if any of this was working, we would not have to extend unemployment benefits, increase food stamp allowances, renew the housing credit, bail out GMAC again, bail out GM again (it is coming), bail out fannie mae again, etc.

Main goal should be to get cash in americans hands. (via tax cuts or just a stimulus check)

The main problem is that Obama decided NOT to give much to american households.

His $787 Billion was given out to his washington friends instead of american people.

That was enough money to give each houshold nearly an $8000 check.

Instead, Obama decided to increase government and surprise surprise it's not working.

Now we have high unemployment just like Russia and Cuba have had for the last 50 years

Our daughters friend lost his job this week and for young people it isn't easy, neither is it for a person who has to feed his whole family of his salary and than is layed off!

With cap & trade taxes will go up and people will have even less money to spend.

Health care is going to cost every family so much more and small business owners are scared to death to hire any one with the thread of having all these hidden fees and taxes raised on them...that isn't creating jobs!
That's the second time I agree with you. This HealthCare thing has dragged on long enough. Bring it to a vote and get on to the next thing, jobs

Get rid of NAFTA
Reward companies that employ American workers and don't have offshore accounts so they can evade taxes.

Make it easier for workers to unionize

Increase our manufacturing capibilities

This is the last thing I needed to hear. I'm afraid that I may lose my job, after hunting for 5 months. there may be none out there after this. Obama needs to get his ass in gear, or I may switch parties and boot him out. This is insane.

The problem with "giving" the people a check is that it probably would have done nothing to help the economy. Those checks would have likely simply have met the same fate Bush's rebate check stimulus did - they would have been used to pay down bills or simply stuffed in the bank and saved - neither of which would have done ANYTHING to stimulate the economy.

Switch parties: Vote for the Socialist Party USA!

Call your representative in Congress. They are the ones who draft the bills, bring it to a vote, etc.

You can't just blame everything on Obama.

I'm not a big fan of the guy but I'm sick of people blaming him when our real problem lies with Congress. So many of them are out of touch.
