So far, the vote has been clear. Amost two out of three support Israel in an attack.

Personally, I think it will happen with the support of Germany, France and England within the next month.

Obama will be holding his hand on his own arse.

This is already happening. Russia and China have been siphoning nuclear technology to Central America, N Korea, and probably Iran for a while. None of these are angels. They say one thing to your face whie they do another.

There is no good outcome to this. I do not think Iran would strike first because the risk is too great for the country. But I do think Iran may be using nukes or the thought/danger of developing warheads in order to provoke an attack from Israel. That way, they can say they are "justified" in retaliation, and this will bond the other Arab countries together against Israel. And from there, it will only get uglier.

In principle or in reality?

In principle they are a soveriegn nation, with the same right to defend themselves as anyone else.

In reality, if they are a threat to us. Then our same right to defend ourselves would lead me to say, "Sure, take the SOB's out."

As always, statements of principle and the realities of survival often clash.

However, not that this is not a carte blanche endorsement of aggression by Isreal. As allued to above, it's case by case as viewed from our perspective.

This is funny coming from you.

In another thread didn't you say you wanted to p*** on the graves of every US soldier?

Only if Iran has attacked Israel first (not a threat of an attack, but a real attack).

It wouldn't have to be nuclear, if Iran launched biological weapons, or a real missle, then I could support a war between the nations.

Not a "Well Iran gave missles to hamas" It has to be from Iran. The United States, China, and Russia all give weapons to countries that attack one another, yet we aren't attacked for it.

Well, without the war drums, and blab speak from Condi Rice, who will be cranking up the "let's get them before they get us ?" speech ? Think the camera will focus on the beady eyes, and "be afraid America" lips ? Will there be music swelling in the background as kiddies swing in the playground ? How about a quick camera cut to the little red white and blue tricycle, and church steeple ? "Are YOU willing to have EYE RAN take away YOUR freedoms with their dastardly nuke ambitions ?" Quick shot of the White House. The Washington monument. "Imagine having these taken away by a nuke bomb from EYE RAN, America !!!!!" Loud scream. More frantic music. A quick cut to some old dude in a turban who has been dead 100 years. Another scream.
