No I wouldnt give Fidel brothers a penny of my money and we couldnt because of my husbands name we would be put in Jail my husbands family gave a lot fighting Fidel taking over their country. So not a chance would we go
Ah-ha. So you are one of the old exiles. So you created a duplicate of Cuba in Miami. Why aren't you happy with that?
Maybe that's part of the issue. People in Cuba "gave money" to fight Castro. However, the peasants actually when out and joined Castro and fought with their lives...........you should have learned something from that. You fight with your lives, not just your money. Doesn't take a lot of bravery to "fight" by giving money.
You don't have to wait to get to Cuba, just take a connecting flight if you feel so inclined on going.
I did this a few years ago. I flew thru Mexico. Cuban immigration gave me a visa; instead of stamping my passport they attached the visa with a paper clip and took it back upon my exit. I met my 93 year-old abuela in Havana. Beautiful country, wonderful accomodating people, inexspensive, clean, and absolutely gorgeous women.
Been there and done that. Cardenas is nice and all but you can get the same thing in many Carribean countries and Mexico- warm weather, nice looking women, cheap drinks and clean beaches.
If you want to go to Cuba, you can go now if you go through Canada. Just make sure when you arrive in Cuba that you tell them you are American so they do not stamp your passport. And don't try to use your credit cards there.
LOL. So right. You wouldn't want to get at least a $50,000 fine for traveling illegally to Cuba via another country.
BTW, did you know that traveling to Cuba illegally is a felony if you get caught??
Yall might not be so willing to visit a place that held your in laws on a camp and beat them daily when the ones that beat them are still in power.
Its almost like saying its ok that they got that beating whats it matter you all can lay on the beach that they gave their blood to try and prevent Fidel from getting power of
My grandmother lives in Havana in a free apartment with free top-of-the-line health care and all of my cousins went to college for free. When I visited them their lives were filled with joy and hapiness.
So what is your point Jadex? Should a Palestinian-American not visit Israel because Palestinians are suffering in their jails? Should a woman married to a Chinese-American not visit China because some stupid Chinese soldier beat his father with a stick at Tianneman Square 20 years ago? I am really sorry about your in-laws, but I am really sorry about a lot of other things too. The world is full of sacred ground where people have spilled their blood for noble causes. If you are so angry about the tyrants in Havana that "stole" your husbands country muster up some courage, get organized, form a militia and go free Cuba and give Fidel a taste of his own medicine. Fidel started out with a rag-tag group and he did it, so why cant you? I dont know if you are Cuban but I wish anti-Casto Cubans would stop whining and stop expecting everyone to consider sacred what they feel is sacred and go do something about it already. I am Cuban and I have been listening to the whining for over 36 years. Wouldn't it be great if you guys took him down instead of letting him grow into a little old man who dies peacefully in his bed.
And for your information there were people in my family who resisted in Havana in 1959 and were executed.
Now excuse me I'm planning out my summer vacation; cant wait to see my abuela again!

No it really does have to do with it. Why do liberals support the likes of Fidel brothers Like they are nice people
Oh thats right ignore the people that they surpress because its not you its happening to.
Stop whining please. This is a free country and if someone wants to like or support a terrible dictator leave them alone that's their problem. If someone wants to like Fidel thats their choice why do they have to explain themselves to you? Who are you the thought police?? Oh, I'm sorry I forgot you are anti-Castro, pro-personal liberty free speech person! SORRY, MY BAD!!You know what I think is ironic: Anti-castro Cubans always whining away about how Castro took away liberties and freedom of speech. Then the second someone says the remotest thing that might put Castro in a favorable light they whine and whine and say "Why did you say that?? You cant say that, you have no right to say that?? Thats not right!!! Shut Up!!"
LEAVE IT TO AN ANTI-CASTRO TO TAKE A THREAD ABOUT TRAVEL TO CUBA AND USE IT TO ADVANCE THEIR AGENDA. THANKS FOR HI-JACKING THE CONVERSATION. WAY TO LIVE AND LET LIVE AND BE FREE AND LET OTHERS SPEAK THEIR MINDS!!!!NOT EVERYTHING ABOUT CUBA HAS TO TURN INTO A CASTRO BASHING FESTIVAL!!!!

Reason: 1
Beautiful beaches, great cigars, mystique, hot women, cool people, salsa, and 90 miles from the mainland - they would surpass Cancun as a honeymoon destination.
Are you kidding? It should be a requirement. Everyone has to see the success of socialism before they can vote.
