When does this happen? I have heard plenty of criticism of liberals, the President, etc coming from talk radio but haven't heard of ANY of these hosts inciting violence.. IF this was the case, then a (insert group) would be ALL over it and demanding a boycott of advertisers.. In that arena, there ARE checks and balances, but the Checks and balances CAN go the other way, as when a Religious group is offended by something stated on a liberal radio/TV network, they also have the right to organize a boycott of advertisers..

If you don't like the show, turn it off.. Once the demand for the show goes away, so will the show, it's the Free market at work..

Well I would say that was decided in the 1960's by radicals on the left. They in faxct called for revolution and kilig of teh establishmnet pigs on college campuses. They were not prosecuted for this as its not agfianst the law. theyw ere procecuted when they began setting up to ambush police offcers. The left defended them saying they were repressed people and the country just had to undersatnd. Obamas friend Ayers who still says he is rpooud of whta he did is oe of these that acted. So I guiess you will just have to bear with free speech ven if it calls fpor revolution like then and only act against those that turn violent. But I still don't see where either the Ruby ridge killings or the Waco assaults by the governamtn were justified over two firearms violation when they could eaily hace arrested bioht when they mad eopne of their frequent trips to town. Those wre radical reactions by the clinton justice system in recent times. Yes ;they shoudl ahve been arrest but to do full assaults when they din't have top is really government ding military assaults that resulted in many lifes of those accused of nothing.

No we need to fix the left wingnuts radio right now.

Oh shoot, they all seem to fail for some reason.

Why are you so jealous of all the success of the right wing radio host?

I thought you believe in freedom of speech????

Or are you just pulling another typical lib line that you want to shut them up because they are ripping your President a new rear end. My guess is you cannot stand the fact that freedom of speech and the top rated radio shows are by those same right wing host.

Another lib wanting to shut down our right to listen to a good radio show.

Move to Russia if you do not like the constitution and your rights to free speech.

Hitler would liked the Fairness Doctrine and its being suggested to use it to stop anti semities. That's good irony. Stalin would have liked it to so I suggest we extend it to shut down MSNBC. That's even better irony.

If this is what YOU think talk radio encourages, then YOU need to deal with it because, as YOU said, it's in YOUR mind.

It is time to start bringing back some balance on the radio by reimposing the Fairness Doctrine.
Just today some racist attacked the Halocaust Museum because he doesn't like the Jews. Immigrants have been attacked, blacks have been attacked, abortion docs killed in church and at home and there is little doubt in my mind that much of this is encouraged by talk radio and its venomous right wing extreme host.

so if you want the fairness doctrine, it should apply to all forms of media as well. including tv and newspapers as well.

it should also include the complete other side, not just the republican side, but Libertarian as well, but we all know you wont go for that because you dont like everyone elses freedom of speech, just your own brand of speech.

Consider, hypothetically: Your happy family lives in a great neighborhood,
great school district, the whole nine yards. The only problem is that your
neighbor's son bullies your daughter by calling her "fatso" and making fun of everything that she does. Consequently, this causes your daughter to cry
several times a week. Time passes and the neighbor's son has so influenced other children that they begin calling your daughter names as well; this causes your daughter to withdraw, spending most of her time in her room. Eventually the ugly nicknames and derogatory comments of the neighborhood make their way into the school. Your daughter becomes depressed, begins to self-mutilate and requires counseling.
What should you have done? There are several options: you could move, but you like the neighborhood. You could ignore the problem, which could lead to the scenario above. Also, you could speak with your neighbors and their son, letting them know what he's been doing, how damaging it's been to your daughter, and tactfully pointing out that his behavior is unacceptable and needs to be stopped. Or you could just tell your daughter that you can't interfere with the boy's right to free speech.
Hate speech clearly has a negative effect on people, and cruel words are
not far from cruel actions. Clearly, some talk show hosts are unable to work within the realm of civilized society; if they are unable or unwilling to
control themselves, then perhaps certain restrictions should be imposed
upon them by the FCC. If nothing else decent people should speak out,
insisting that speech which foments hatred is not acceptable.
