While Obama promised he would repair relationships with foreign governments allegedly damaged by the "cowboy"diplomacy of George W. Bush, he is so far scoring no points in the foreign policy department.
Our closest ally, Great Britain, was totally dissed by Obama when Gordon Brown visited, prompting one British journalist, Iain Martin to write:
"We get the point, sunshine. We're just one of many allies and you want fancy new friends. Well, the next time you need something doing, something which impinges on your national security, then try calling the French, the Japanese, or best of all the Germans."
Obama's arrogant nature is not going unnoticed. Brown didn't even get invited to lunch.
So much for "repairing our image abroad".
Obama's overtures to our enemies have also been rebuffed. Iran's Intelligence Minister made it clear that there would be no thaw in relations or concessions on it's nuclear weapons program, and Russia flatly and publicly rejected a deal Obama tried to make in a secret letter sent to the Russian President.
Hillary Clinton too, is becoming an embarrassment (the Clinton's have always had a knack for getting into embarrassing situations).
Condoleezza Rice must be snickering somewhere and rolling her eyes as she reads of this ineptness in the current administration. It's very sad that we finally had a highly skillful, and truly professional Secretary of State, but that her term was so short. Fairwell, Condoleezza.
Oh come on! The administration is doing a great job. Pretty soon, Russia, Iran, Syria, North Korea, Taliban, Hamas, and many other former enemies will just love us and all want to get along because we had a nice little talk with them and played John Lennon's "Imagine". Even more importantly the US is going to give them all monetary incentives to like US. Who cares about Britian; they have been just as bad to the rest of the globe as the US has been. There also the bad guys.
Diplomacy takes time and patience. Would you trust the U.S. after the last 8 years? Obama's about 45 days in, Hillary less than that but you're outraged..Please

Do you understand why they are upset? The British people that is? They are upset over the way Obama treated them. This has NOTHING what so ever to do with Bush, But over how Obama treated Brown

..and when you have a President who has ZERO diplomatic experience in foreign affairs...it may take up to 8 years

LOL!! One British Journalist made a snarly remark so that means the Bristish hate Obama, whatever. Sounds like that journalist was jealous that Obama realizes that the world is bigger than the U.S. and Britian. They've been around a visionless Bush for 8 years. This is to be expected.
I would have most certainly liked to have seen the faces of the Bush admin when they saw that Clinton gave Russia a red button. I don't know if it was a taunt or an outright negligent act.

...as long as they were in headcuffs.
