When one describes oneself as normal, that should be a huge red flag which proclaims to the world at large that this is not the case at all.

And thank you to each and every one of you who complimented my son. I am blessed to be the mother of such an intelligent, kind and compassionate kid.

Well I for one am an atheist and I would prefer to raise children in a world without religion. I believe that religion does more harm than good and that it warps the mind to believe in things that are not real. I do not want my kids to have to encounter religion in the world.
However, unlike some of the bigoted people here, while it might be my preference to live in a world without religion, I would never try to impose my wishes on anyone else. I believe in your right to live your life as you choose, even if you do not support mine.
If we start banning things simply because someone doesn't approve, we'll be left with no freedom at all.
Live and let live.

I snickered a bit at my dad's reaction, which was astonishment and confusion
Good for your brother!

I believe the children are our future; teach them well and let them lead the way...

It's the kind of thing that compels me to answer with nothing more than emoticons and net-speak.
