I just filled up my car for 30 dollars. I drive a 3.8 2005 Pontiac grand prix so those of you who has one of those, knows that a couple of months ago it the would cost closer to 60 dollars. Yesterday I drove by a gas station here in Memphis and the regular were down to 2.13 a gallon. I love it. Do you guys think it will go below $2.00?

I'm jealous. Gas prices are still running $2.45 to $2.55 here. I would love to see gas go below $2.00 but I also don't think that any such dip will be permanent.

*sigh* It's going back up after the election. Just look at it historically.

It JUST hit $2.99 for me here... 15 minutes away it's still $3.40. I never thought I'd see the day when it dropped below $3 again, but it's bound to shoot back up.

And of course you would never move out of a paradise like California to the Texas Gulf Coast where gas is just under $1.99.

Lower gas prices mean that there is decreased interest in investment in alternative forms of energy which will equal much higher fuel prices in the future and more crying about the high cost of gas. Let's not ignore the bigger problem, cheap gas is not going to last and we must not forget the importance of investing in our future.

Sounds like you think low gas prices are bad and high gas prices are bad. Therefore, you do not really care about the price, you just feel that gas is inherently bad. I hate to give any ideas, but it sounds like you would favor a "sin" tax on gas since it is no better than cigarettes or alcohol. It is just bad.
