There is plenty of reason to justify the 35% drop in fuel over the last three weeks; namely, a barrel of oil has lost over half its value in the last couple of months. And despite all of the hyperventilating to the contrary, the price of oil is something over which the President of the United States has little control since it's a global commodity whose demand is measured across the entire globe. The price of gas isn't just dropping in the U.S., it's dropping all over the world. The fact that Americans believe a global commodity price moves simply because of American politics is a perfect example of the rest of the world's belief that Americans think everything revolves around America.

I would love 1.99. We are at about 2.49 right now. Can't complain after what we saw this summer. I hope it keeps going down, at least for a few more weeks.

It is $2.14 here in Keller TX but I don't see it going much lower if any. It is still in the $3.00 range in CA.

Lawton, Oklahoma = $1.97. At Sams club, only 1.92, but that's with membership.

In down town Houston I found gas for $1.99 yesterday. But I agree with the sharper minds among us with good memories that the very day after the election it will start climbing and climbing and climbing. Despite what Economics 101 teaches about supply and demand, the price of oil and supply and demand have nothing in common.
