I favor alternative energy which is a result of new technology that will create new American jobs and allow us as a country to prosper without the need for gas. Our use of gas currently is not a "sin", but if we allow ourselves to become complacent in our dependency, I fear it will leave us in a very unfortunate situation in the future.

So, if it's a conspiracy when gas prices go up and it's a conspiracy when gas prices go down, when are gas prices not a conspiracy? When they're stable? Or does it depend on where they stabilize at? Or is it always a conspiracy?

On military bases, where we don't pay taxes, the cost is still over $3.
It's usually the same or higher than the states.
AAFES robs the military member by charging us "fuel movement" costs.

Remember that when you think that the government supports the troops.

Maybe so many forget because it didn't actually happen. In fact fuel prices ran UP immediately during the election and then fell back DOWN immediately after. Average fuel price 2 months before and after the 2004 election, cents per gallon:

I would think outrage would be the feeling, knowing that for the last 2 years you have been robbed. The election is near, otherwise there is no reason to justify the 35% drop in fuel. over the last 3 weeks. We have been fleeced and this administration stood by and did nothing. Could they be part of it?
