I have no opinions on this. But it seems like Texans are getting the tax cuts they want and NYC is getting the increased migration they want also.

But it is rather interesting how Texas has been offering migrant free bus rides to places where they can have the "American Dream" and because of those buses, Governor Abbott's Texas had such a state surplus, that they he signed into a law a 18 billion dollar tax cut for Texans.

While at almost the same time, NYC Eric Adams was proposing 12 billion dollar welfare package reserved for migrants only.

Eric Adams 12 Billon Dollars is reserved for migrants and American citizens and New Yorkers will not be eligible for one penny of it.

Well, to be fair, American citizens in New York will be eligible to PAY for the $12 billion migrant plan. So at least there's that.

Good for Abbott and Good for Adams. They are fulfilling their campaign pledges.
The problem is these Sanctuary Cities like NY are getting buried in debt by the Illegal Aliens and eventually they will need Federal Bailouts which means we will all be paying for our New "Migrant" neighbors.

We can thank Abbott and Desantis for making this crisis Headline news when they bused and flew Illegals to the Sanctuary cities and islands. The Left called these "Stunts" that were using people as political pawns and they even threatened to charge them with KIDNAPPING and HUMAN TRAFFICKING.

Hmmm I wonder what ever happened to those charges? The Dems are probably keeping them at the ready if Desantis becomes the GOP Nominee so they can indict him..........?

He is asking for FEDERAL funds. Meaning that not only the American citizens in New York get to pay for it, but taxpayers in the other 49 States get to as well.

Hey, you get what you vote for. Do you think you get more migrants than Texas? If so, you're a fool. We get all that and the increased expense.

And tax cuts - that's pretty broad. I'm glad that they're increasing the exemption amount but it doesn't apply to the ISD tax and that's usually the lion share. I'm sick of all the CADs (appraisal districts) jacking up the values, usually arbitrarily, and making it harder to argue an opinion of value. I do hope we see some relief but the property tax is what makes Texas almost unaffordable. I'd like to see some real relief.

As long as NYC doesn't get a penny of federal funds.

Also, NYS and NYC already tax remote workers who work for a NY employer who never step foot in that state & city.

The only reason Texans are getting tax cuts is because we have been overtaxed by the republicans running the state for a long time.
