Look at how many old people are farmers in the US. Its an issue of where the USA will find the replacements when those people retire.
A lot of those old farmers wore a uniform, once upon a time.
We (the US) lost 2000 men per week, average, in WW2.
We continued farming, during and after.
We can fight this battle in Ukraine, or fight it somewhere else.
We can fight it by proxy, or send our own armies to fight it.
But, ultimately, this is a battle that has to be fought.

No, it’s not.
It’s a business for the profit of a few.
The last military venture somewhat necessary for actual defense of the economy on US soil was the 1990-1991 so-called Gulf War because Saddam Hussein - a creation of the US military and intelligence services, by the way, aimed at Iran - posed a real and imminent threat to the US and global oil supply from Saudi Arabia at a time when oil played a much bigger role in the economy.
As Bob Dole literally spelled out on national television, “We are there for one reason: O I L.”

This battle has nothing to do with America or its interests. There were no US bases in Ukraine and Ukraine is non-NATO, which is exactly why Putin chose to invade it.
This is a battle progressives want to fight because they think “Putin will take over the world” or “Biden loses the election if Putin wins the war” despite failing to clarify how Putin is going to do that while simultaneously being “on the brink of collapse.”
The only “battle” going on here is if non-NATO countries, who are the only countries at risk, are afforded all the benefits of NATO country when they come under attack. Which undermines the entire purpose of NATO.
Latest UAF missile attack on Sevastopol.
ATACMS missiles were used.
As reported, all of them were destroyed.
Unfortunately, at least one was destroyed above popular beach and carried cassette load.
As the result, injuries suffered 124 civilians, 27 of them - children.
Killed were 3 persons, two of them - children.
We seem to have a lot of Neville Chamberlains telling us to let it go until we have to fight them somewhere else.
What makes any of you think Russia wants to govern vast amounts of territory or even has the ability to do so? You are so brainwashed into thinking all this Russia bad nonsense you have lost the ability to think for yourselves.
In my experience and from what I've read of history, is you don't stand up to bullies, they push you down and walk right over you.
In this case, if we don't stand up to them, they start with one kid, down the block, and continue pushing others down.
We can either supply weapons to Ukraine to fight the Russians in Ukraine, or supply men and weapons to fight Russia somewhere else (Estonia being the most likely, but not certain, next step.)

Who shot at who first, Russia or Ukraine?
