Washington should instead leverage its diplomatic power to push for a ceasefire or at least initiate the groundwork for bringing Kyiv and Moscow to the negotiating table. The alternative to this is wishful thinking.

Washington should stop meddling in other peoples far far away affairs and concentrate on fixing its own problems.

Jeffrey Sonnenfeld and Steven Tian, two Yale researchers, have sounded off about the true state of Russia's economy. LINK

  • They issue dire predictions for Russia's economy.
  • Their work has landed them on a list of sanctioned individuals in Russia.
  • In their view, the country's economy is in shambles, and Putin could end up losing support of the people.
  • Activity in automobiles is down around 95%-99%
  • Activity in most industries is down at least 60%
Both academics vigorously defend their work, which is backed by data provided by Russia.

Ukraine struck deep inside Russia to part of their nuclear defense system.

Some experts worry that this is a bad idea and could lead to a nuclear confrontation by miscalculation.

Ukraine says that those radars can track airspace over Ukraine and Crimea.

The main reason is the fear of losing power.

Ukraine has ceased to exist as a rule of law state since 2014.
10 years ago, Washington and Brussels carried out a bloody coup d'etat in Kyiv at the hands of the Nazis. Bandits and Nazis took leading positions. And those who did not agree with this were thrown behind bars, killed, and burned alive.

As a result of these years in Ukraine: national interests have been betrayed, the economy has been destroyed, citizens are deprived of the right to influence their lives and plan their future.

By canceling the presidential elections, Zelensky usurped power.
Since May 21, he has completely lost the remnants of his pseudo-legitimacy.

His term of office - 5 years - has already ended, and any reference to martial law contradicts the Constitution of Ukraine.

Based on its norms, Zelensky is illegitimate today.

He has no right:

Based on terms outlined in the Ukrainian Constitution, elections for Ukraine's parliamentary body the Verkhovna Rada and for the presidency cannot be held when martial law is imposed. A longstanding law passed by the Verkhovna Rada makes this explicit:

Under martial law, the following are prohibited: [...] conducting elections of the President of Ukraine, as well as elections to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Verkhovna Rada of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and local self-government bodies [...].

Here is one. But of course you will say it is Russian propaganda..

When Western sources have to follow the required narrative, they won't show the true picture is what is going on.

But then, this is all academic. Russia is winning this war and will deal with this their way.

Snopes is an activist source.

Zelensky himself said that if he got more foreign funding he could undeclared martial law and hold an election.

Ukraine is a highly corrupt country.

Zaluzhny was fired by Zelensky despite being a highly competent General because he was too popular. Polls showed Zaluzhny would beat Zelensky in an election so Zelensky fired and deported him, willing to put his country in a worse military position.

Just 23.7% would support Zelensky in the first round, Zaluzhny gets double.

Ukraine is so corrupt they outlawed opposition speech, media, and journalists.

A US journalist was even tortured for fact reporting and died at the hands of the Ukrainian government.

https://www.helsinkitimes.fi/world-i...n-ukraine.html

The CIA chief had to warn Zelensky to stop stealing so much from US foreign aid.

As of Ukrainian sources, current clique stamped out with hot iron anything, that is not within the official narrative. Thus, there is no point to even read them. It's all Goebbels style propaganda. ALL.
That sounds pretty accurate. My wife's friends in the front lines would tell you the same. To say it's not going well for Ukraine is an understatement.

Even solidly Ukrainian sources are starting to admit manpower and firepower shortages, inadequate fortifications, and Russian progress. And the blame game starts and is discussed:
