ok, so a few days ago "Georgie" from 'Ukraine matters' on you tube told us that the Ukrainian counter offensive has failed because their forces did not reach Tokmat..not recapture the town but just reach the outskirts would have been enough..now in this new video he clarifies that statement by saying he is referring to the 'summer counter offensive' that is defined by weather and time and that Ukraine is in an ok position on the southern front to keep reclaiming territory..and guess what else he says..."Russia is running out of shells"..so there you have it sports fans..a 20 minute video, but worth a watch..

Ukraine is not. Al-jazzera reports 1.1M Iranian manufactured rounds have been sent to Ukraine. The rounds were confiscated when Iran tried to send them to Yemen.

It's amazing how you guys never change your tune regardless of what happens around you. It doesn't matter how many countries stop supporting Ukraine or say they're out of weapons. It doesn't matter if Ukraine is drafting women and young men. It doesn't matter that Russia has taken twice as much territory from Ukraine this year as the reverse. As long as a storm shadow gets through Russian air defenses and hits something in Crimea, that proves Ukraine is winning.

That is actually kind of interesting. I believe the Daily Telegraph's podcast yesterday indicated that the average age of Ukrainian fighters is 40, and that maybe they need a more widespread mobilization; however, that would take people away from Ukrainians who are keeping the economy (somewhat) afloat.
Now, not a fan of all these youtubers that get posted here, and was never a fan of Russian gore, although there is certainly something quite inhuman about Russia's Wagner-fueled Bakmut campaign earlier this year. Yea, looks like stalemate, and those wishing/purporting to see a Ukraine breakthrough are committing the error of looking to "hope" as a military strategy. Still, seems crazy to just "cut off" Ukraine aid in the US, with no step down over 18 - 24 months, after we have fueled this war -- just seems crazy to do that.
It won't matter. Russia has been disintegrating steadily for 35 years and will continue to do so for many years to come.
Ukraine may recover. They may even prevail!
After all, they have driven the Russian Black Sea Fleet out of Sevastopol, and it no longer operates as a cohesive unit.
The Kerch Bridge's days are numbered.
Looks like the sliver of land the Russians need along the Sea of Azov may be severed, too.
So if there is no Kerch Bridge, no road to Sevastopol, and no safe harbor for The Black Sea Fleet then Russia cannot hold Crimea.
The Rooskateers are all cheering for a cutoff of funds and blabbering meaninglessly about "blank checks" and other nonsense.
The coalition consists of USA, Canada, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, France, UK, Ireland, Belgium, Netherlands, Poland, Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, Czech Republic, Croatia, Portugal, Greece, Italy, Spain, Israel, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, Japan and some others. They are not all going to quit supporting Ukraine.

Rofl, do you even read what I write? I'm over here thinking geostrategically and all you can do is repeat irrelevant bull**** from a US military-industrial complex think-tank run by the (((Kagans))) because you think this is some kind of football game.
As I said a hundred times before, the United States cannot and will not defeat Russia in Ukraine because Russia has formed an anti-American/anti-Western alliance that spans the globe. That's what happens when you constantly try to overthrow everyone else's government, spend decades bombing and invading other people's countries, cause millions of deaths, including intentionally starving to death hundreds of thousands of children.
It's over for the west because the neocons are psychotic morons. Everyone hates us, and no one trusts us.
The United States absolutely started this conflict when Victoria Nuland said "F the EU" and proceeded to use literal Nazis to overthrow a democratically-elected government in the hopes of using Ukraine as a springboard from which to attack/weaken Russia.
The United States knew Russia was going to invade Ukraine for six months before the Russian Army crossed the border. Putin wanted to negotiate an agreement, America rebuked him. Putin invaded with a relatively small Army and then an agreement was made between Ukraine and Russia, America and the UK went to Ukraine to block that agreement(and one of the negotiators was murdered) because we want war.
The problem is, we promised Ukraine a victory we cannot deliver. Just like when Britain gave Poland a war guarantee in 1939 that it could not honor, encouraging Poland to fight a war it could not win over land that was 95% German.
Would you do me a favor? Would you read these articles from Pat Buchanan when you have time. They go back to 2008, and they are ironically much more relevant today than they were then.
PS: I've been working on a response to Adhom's question. I'm not finished with my answer, but I will say this. I am staunchly pro-Europe. In fact, you might think this is strange, but my #1 goal is to save Europe.
