Well we didn't actually lose in Vietnam. We left and then when Congressional Democrats tied Nixon's hands, we just watched the South Vietnamese army collapse a couple years after we left. But we got tired of being there, just as the Russians got tired of being in Afghanistan.

The USSR had 20 times the population of Afghanistan. But they got outlasted. They only have 3 times the population of Ukraine.

The military will be needed in Russia just to keep Putin in power. History does not repeat exactly. This one really close to a failure to learn.

To be fair, the reason we got out of Vietnam was because it was bankrupting us both literally and geostrategically. The Vietnam War was the reason Richard Nixon had to take us off the gold-standard and why Richard Nixon sent Henry Kissinger to China to make a deal to separate them from the Soviets(the opening of China, recognition of the CCP, normal relations, access to western markets, etc).

The Soviet Union likewise didn't leave Afghanistan because they got outlasted. They left Afghanistan because they went bankrupt, both literally and geostrategically. The Afghanistan War mobilized the entire Middle-East against the Soviet Union. The Saudis had already established the petrodollar with the United States which was(and still is) a massive subsidy to the American financial system. The Saudis then helped crater oil prices in the 1980's to bankrupt the Soviets.

The Saudis could do the same right now to Russia if they wanted to, but this time around Russia has essentially allied with the Saudis after Joe Biden promised to make Saudi Arabia a pariah state(after 20 years of regime-change wars across the Middle-East and Africa). Which is why the Saudis are trying to push oil prices up. Oil is heading towards $100 a barrel again, and Biden has already drained the Strategic Oil Reserve.

No? So what actually the U.S. win in Vietnam? We got tired of being there? LOL Is that your history of the war or just maybe, the North Vietnamese wanted it more than the Americans and were willing to fight for years for their country and the Americans couldn't win the war or put up a functional puppet government so the North Vietnamese forced them out.

And Guyin's claims that Russia just wanted Minsk. That's not even Russian talking points. They openly talked about overthrowing the regime and clearing out the "Nazis." So how Guyin can be so willfully ignorant of what even the Russians are saying, I don't know. And you can look at any map and see that Russia has lost half of the land they once held in Ukraine.
You have no clue what the Russians are “saying”, because the only thing you think you know is the nonsense you get from your usual propaganda sources.

A marginally intelligent person, able to form a thought of their own, would stop and ask themselves why Russia hasn’t bombed Kiev into the stone age, and reduced it to a smoldering pile of rubble, if their intention was to destroy the regime? Russia has the long range munitions needed to do it, as well as an Air Force able to freely attack the Capitol, since they’ve already eliminated most of Ukraine’s air defense systems, leaving the Capitol wide open to attack? Anyone with two functioning brain cells would expect government buildings and its command and control centers to be targeted first, if taking down the government was the goal, regardless of what either side “says”. But the Russians haven’t done that, and we’ve seen the reports and videos of “life as usual” in Kiev, with night clubs rocking, and people going about their normal daily routines as if there was no war raging just miles away.

So I pay no attention to what anyone “says” unless it matches what they “do”. And what Russia has said right from the very beginning, matches what they have done. They said their objective was to secure the Donbas region from Ukrainian attacks, and de-nazify Ukraine (eliminate the Azov Nazi battalion). They have maintained their position that they have no desire for seizing and occupying the entire country, and thats exactly what has been seen. They’ve made no major moves westward, and have dedicated their military actions to secure the eastern region as claimed, along with keeping Ukraine’s ability to reconstitute its combat ability severely degraded.

You might learn something here, but you first need to stop barking at yourself in the mirror, and stop reading the fairytale stories being fed to you by the lying criminals lining their pockets with the billions of dollars they claim to be sending to Ukraine.

The sad truth is, you’re just another one of the many “smart” ones, listening to the mainstream media nonsense, while thoroughly convinced you know everything, when you actually don’t know a damned thing.

You are the reason we are in the mess we’re in, and you haven’t a clue, as exemplified by such ridiculous statements. “You”, being the people like you who know nothing, yet think they know everything, and obviously infected with the “mind virus”.

We lost the Vietnam war in the sense that we were pushed out through a constant flow of foreign military support going to the North Vietnamese, lost 50,000+ American soldiers, and waisted Trillions of dollars allegedly fighting the spread of Communism, only to find ourselves now in the grip of communist controlled democrats who are running our government today.

In this rather Orwellian twist of reality, the United States is now the communist/fascist state, drowning in Satanic homosexuality, and openly promoting pedophilia, child mutilation, and transgender mania, while the “evil” Russians are those dastardly repressive ones who refuse to wrap their children in rainbow mafia approved clothes and taught to masturbate at age 5.

And no narrative would be complete without pointing out how all of this is Trump’s fault, since he’s one of Putin’s KGB agents trying to destroy America.
