He should have just stated that we had only two black judges in the history of the supreme court, better?
Well certainly more truthful, but everyone knows Schumer has a problem with that.

Well it's certainly nice to see all these conservatives standing up for Thurgood Marshall all of the sudden. LOL.

one wonders why JFK never nominated a Black judge. Or why LBJ waited. The Civil Rights Act was signed into law in the summer of 1964.

In August 1965, LBJ nominated a white guy.

It wasn't for another 2 years that a justice retired, opening the door for Marshall.

because JFK (more correctly his father) and LBJ opposed civil rights since birth?

he was alive for both.

You really have to laugh at every leftist who keeps up with this 100whatever - 2 line. Blacks weren't even considered full legal US citizens until 1865, and 39 SCJ's had already been appointed by then. And women weren't "full citizens" with the right to even vote until 1920.

If you want to make a point, talk about what happened from 1865 to 1967 and 1981, whether Blacks were graduating law school and even gained judgeships. Same for women.

See, that's the HISTORY to teach. Not some stupid ass 100whatever-2.

and was born in 1950 - would have surely been an aware 15 yr old when the Civil Rights Act was passed and then 3 years later Marshall was named.

Democrats also claimed white people invented the practice of slavery. They say the most outlandish things because they can. It's not like their supporters are going to stop or correct them.

well ....

Our country was started in 1787 - 235 years. 1/2 + 1 of that (simple majority) is 118 years.

1787 to 1865 is 78 years. Not a majority. And if the Northerners were racist, why did they want to end the subjugation of Blacks?

Was Jim Crow practiced throughout the land, or even a majority of states from 1865 to 1964 (Civil Rights Act)?

There are surely some "racist" - well, not necessarily racist but illegally discriminatory - practices like the misapplication of the GI Bill, the misuse of the FHA Loan program, etc that were nationwide. See, that's the history of Blacks in AMerica we should be teaching more of.

Like Harry Reid’s lie about Romney not paying taxes for 10 years. This short video is worth watching.

Spoiler
Mitt Romney paid $1.9 million in taxes in 2011.
