Let it spread. At this point, those who wanted the vaccine already got it. Not much more can be done.

Sorry, but I am going to drop a truth bomb on your panic porn propaganda.

No one who needed a ventilator in Springfield didn't get one. Close by hospitals had spares and they arrived on time.

Except if we "let it spread" we are exposing ourselves to the possibility of a breakthrough variant. Has it happened yet? No. Will it happen? No one knows for sure, but the virus is getting more contagious for non-vaccinated people so that should be concerning for non-vaccinated people at the very least.

I don't know if "more can be done". I hope so.

Current, as of 4 days ago, ( full) vaccination rates by state:

https://www.beckershospitalreview.co...-march-15.html

1st- Vermont-66%

38th- Missouri-39.4%

51st- Mississippi- 29.89%

Seems too many continue to focus on fatality vs infected rates and in doing so ignore the huge gap between non- symptomatic and death.

Seems to me the only people getting tested right now are mostly those who are symptomatic, unless intending to travel to those countries permitting foreign visitors.those who are not symptomatic or presymptomatic spread the virus.

It is stunning how quickly the Delta variant has become the most common in Europe and soon, the US.

Variants are commonly identified by the location first identified which may or may not be the original source.viruses mutate because that’s what they do.

Sorry, your "bomb" was a dud and didn't go off. The fact that they ran out of ventilators and had to go find some is proof enough that the Delta variant is serious in Missouri.

What is it with conservatives and their constant denial of facts and reality? Climate change denial. COVID denial. Insurrection denial. Wah wah, if cons see something they don't like they pretend it's not there.

I mean, that's pretty basic.
ONE hospital ran out and got more from other hospitals. Not all on respirators were due to Covid.

Yeah, I agree with what you're saying. My wife and I got our vaccines as soon as it was open to us months ago. Outside of that though, there isnt much that can be done. The anti-vaxxers arent going to change their minds, so we will have to deal with the variants as they come. I'd get a booster if needed.
