The mods give him a pass because this forum is all he has in his miserable life and he would probably jump off the Golden Gate bridge if this place didn't exist.
Curious as to how you know this.

You have denigrated another poster, claiming that he "never" brings anything worthwhile to the table, implying a long-term familiarity with his posting history despite having joined this site within the past two days. You talked about the poster having a miserable life and the mods giving him a pass because of this. How would you know this about this poster, or any other poster?

I would absolutely agree quality of life is on decline, especially for families. Housing is so expensive that many successful white collar folks can't afford to rent a home, let alone BUY a home in a decent school district. So they have to choose in living in a terrible area and paying for private school and living in an okay area and paying half their salary to rent...you can't even enjoy the great parts of the bay when you have this reality weighing on you all the time. I'm living it, so I consider myself credible.

Case in point: AOC dismissing the recent rise in crime as "hysteria".

There are many moderate liberals and moderate Democrats out there but unfortunately they are currently overshadowed by the loonies of the far left right now.
Just ask Californians why we celebrate the 4th of July and this insanity is what you get. Dumb and ignorant people, and they freaking vote!!!!

EDIT: I posted a legit reply then noticed who OP is. I don’t troll OP, but as I can’t figure out how delete, I refuse to post legit replies in OP’s threads, so I’m withdrawing my otherwise legit post. Sorry folks.

The good news is so many people have left San Francisco that their rents have dropped. My hairdresser's son is a student and I think he and a roommate pay $2000 for a two bedroom and it is in a decent part of town.

Many people have indeed moved out to the suburbs due to the WFH protocols in play with many businesses. It was the best time in years especially if it's a rent controlled unit.

Lol...everyone in America always thinks things are getting worse.

San Franciscans are hardly alone in that sentiment. All everyone here in Southern Arizona ever does it bytch about how bad things are getting. Then you look at the real statistics, and see that nothing much has changed in 25 years. SMH
