Wasn't there a similar thread to this regarding other races?
I find with race, most bigotry and racism is born from personal interaction.
I find with religion, most bigotry is born from mostly false stereotypes via word of mouth, stories, online/written propaganda. (ie. Mormons, Jews, etc.)

Yes there was, that's why I made it. It seems that anti-semitism on here and in general I feel has been marginalized. It's the cool thing to do without any consequences.
What are you defining as Anti-Semitism? The dislike of people because of the religion they practice or as we so often see in these forums, the accusation of Anti-Semitism of anyone who dares to disagree with the actions of a nation?
Personally, I don't care what religion anyone practices as long as they do no harm to others because of it and don't try to tell me their way is the only way and that I should follow it. What actions a nation takes is a totally different issue.
People have the absolutely have the right to have a negative opinion on Israeli policy however if it rises to hostility to or prejudice against Jewish people, then that is anti-semitism.
I am talking about quoting Hitler, praising Hitler, making veiled genocidal innuendos, etc.

Anti-semitism was never cool, it's as you say did not come with any consequences. Unfortunately, for whatever reason (if we're being honest) a lot of people just don't like Jewish people for whatever reason. People somehow think that Jews are "odd and different" when in fact they are the same as all other people. Most people interact with Jews at some point and never even know it.

It doesn’t even have to be that blatant. When there’s a discussion about Israel, and some people pipe up with “well, that’s how the Jews are” or “what do you expect from a people who think they’re superior,” that right there is clear antisemitism.
Here's the other side of the coin Rachel976. A lot of people (evangelical types) love Israel and claim to love Jews, but if we're being honest, only "love" them from a distance.
Curious to know, my guess is most people have never had a bad encounter with a Jewish person, instead the media tells them how to think and act, as does social media and high profile celebrities virtue signaling.
In regards to BLM's former leader visiting Israel, I wouldn't trust a word of a self admitted proud Marxist. Israel is a wonderful country. Of course she would say anything to smear Israel's image, just like she does with Police & Caucasians.
I think kids learn it in the home. I was raised with no exposure to any of these derogatory terms, Jew, n word ****, ****, mick, hunky, on and on. I didn't know what they meant when I heard kids at school or playmates use them.
We moved to the midwest when I was a teen, at school I heard a number of guys (not girls, only guys) use the word Jew in a derogatory way. I doubt any of them had ever met a Jew or knew what a Jew was, only that Henry Ford didn't like them. For whatever reason, probably no reason.

Most people interact with Jews and don't even know they are Jews. No one can guess that I am Jewish. Only when they see my Star of David around my neck they know.
