Taxes are too high, and I don't think we should be paying them as often. Why should people work hard just for their money that THEY work hard for to go to : illegals, welfare queens, and foreign countries ? Oh, I forgot...lining the pockets of politicians as well.

Not surprised. Many conservatives are tax freeloaders: they expect full military protection, Social Security, Medicare, generous veterans benefits, Border Patrol, national parks, etc. but they don't want to pay for it.

Tax consultants should have the highest taxes levied against them, as they save the rich from paying taxes.

In other words, half of all Americans don't think their taxes are too high.

I miss the extra money stuff I have to buy costs from the Trump tariffs. Unfortunately its not 50 years so buying Made in China only game in town. And all the price gouging resulting from not dealing properly with covid. And the TAX MONEY spent on the Trump terrorists trashing the Capitol.

I think my tax payments are too high because of where they go. Having tax payments fund things like education, health care, food/housing for people in need as opposed to military or subsidies for corporations would make me think different.

Q. How do you know when taxes are too high?

A. When they exist.

Same. The country wastes so much money. But really, my tax burden isn't that high. We are solidly middle class and pay accordingly.... but we benefit quite a lot from taxes. Our roads are well-maintained, we have a great library system, the schools in my area are very good, there are some great programs available for those who need help, we have a good police force here, the fire station is about a mile from my house, we have safe and effective medications available, our food supply is largely safe, and so on. Yes, I'm subsidizing Walmart and other corporations and paying for stupid things like golf trips (well, not anymore, thankfully), but the good outweighs the bad.

So, no streets, no street lights, no cops, no EMT, no fire department? Got it. You prefer one of those chit hole countries.

That's because that half that pay high taxes have to pay for the other half that pay no taxes.
