The disease has killed more Californians on each of the last two days than any other day throughout the course of the entire pandemic — a back-to-back battering that has propelled the state's total death toll past 25,000.

California is the third state to reach that morbid mark, joining Texas and New York.

Looks like draconian lockdowns and mask mandates aren't really working. Of course, some of us were saying that months ago.

California has a population so large it could be a separate country. More people than Australia, more people than Canada. AND it has a lot of Trump supporters who refuse to social distance and wear PPE, something those two countries don't have to contend with

What is it with you people?

So what's YOUR solution then!

The reason California is having trouble is because despite lockdowns and masks a significant percentage of fools STILL refuse to wear masks, wear them properly or stay at home. The state has a population of over 40 MILLION, and cities like LA are extremely densely populated.

25,000 in a state that has 40 MILLION people in it

This isnt a Dem v/s Rep contest! and it doesnt MATTER what party "runs" the state, plenty of Repub controlled states have high numbers of unemployed, on food stamps, and now covid too.
A lot of older RETIRED people move to a state like California, that skews the numbers because the numbers dont have context behind them

States, Average Daily Cases per 100k in Last 7 Days,

California 91.9

Tennessee 82.8
Arizona 77
Oklahoma 76.1
Arkansas 68.6

“If you just count all the deaths in the red states, we are number two in the world in deaths, just behind Brazil.”

Yes, coronavirus deaths in red states add up to second-highest in the world

Cloth bandanas aren't saving any lives, contrary to the misinformation you're getting and believing.

Life requires personal responsibility regardless of what the government does.

That's something both teams have no clue on.

I'm sure the DNC-run media won't be sensationally covering this 24/7 like they did when Florida had a tiny-by-comparison mini surge over the summer.

The American "media" is worse than anything Stalin or any other dictator ever put together. They have a pretense of objectivity when in reality they are nothing but propagandists for the Democrat Party, usually working hand-in-hand with them.

Yup. Democrat-run California thus has a lower COVID death rate than republican-run Texas. Seems to have gone right over the OP's head.

Correct. And, actually, cloth bandannas can save my life, provided you are wearing one.
