You make a good point. Although the reason republicans had to turn to Trump in the first place, is that they were slipping badly and saw him as a last chance to retain power. If they do survive, it will certainly be made easier without Trump. I recognize the necessity of a strong, opposition party, to keep the majority in check. We cannot succeed without a balance of power.

Nope. The Republican party will never be unified by the "RINOS" or "establishment/corporatist" class. It's time to follow up with the direction that Trump has dragged the party-embrace working people, embrace promoting the success of American businesses and production, putting America first. Continue with his reasonable efforts to control foreign criminals in this nation. Put in common sense immigration reform that limits immigration to quantity and quality that benefits this country. The RINOS sold out this country to the highest bidder-they are no different than much of the Democratic party.

I didn't read the link.

I don't like the Republican party but they seem better than the dems at this point.

DNC/Biden raised $952M vs. GOP/Trump raised $612M in fundraising this election, and with most major social news medias backing DNC up this election, yet DNC barely squeak by in beating Trump

Imagine what GOP can do in 2024 if they nominate somebody who isn't loud and obnoxious or Twitter-happy?

You mean someone that is a weak door-mat like GWB, McCain or Romney-all of whom the media walked all over, gave zero respect to and lied about just as much as they did Trump? I don't like Trump, specifically his personality. But given the bias and lack of decency in our media, frankly it takes an a-hole to get anywhere as a Republican. In spite of 4 years of constant attacks, fake news and bias from the news-Trump still ran an incredibly close race. Imaging if the media were even close to neutral-Joe would still be hiding in his basement.

None of us true conservatives like these neocons rinos in the party....we'd purge them if we could. Too much corruption on both sides. The government should represent the people, not who has the most money.

As for this article...I don't take any of them seriously...they are all written by lefties with an anti conservative slant. The moderate Democrats should do more to shut up the part of their party that the guy on the first page who said he's never voting democrat the rest of his life talks about .

When Obama was elected in 2008, the Millennial generation (largest since the Boomers) was between 12 and 27. A lot of 18-27 year olds full of excitement and idealism.

Those same Millennials are now 24-39. In 4 years, 28-43. The majority of them will be married, have families, and live out in the suburbs. None of them will be fresh out of college. Their votes on average will trend further conservative as opposed to more liberal. Gen Z has around the same population as Gen X, or 5 million less than the Millennials. It will make a difference.
