Trump's slogan is "Make America Great Again"
You can buy a "Make America Great Again" cap for $30 on Trump's campaign website
It comes in red or white

Obviously not the period of time when he was president. Hence the slogan still being used.

1950s America I think?

The phrase itself is borrowed from Reagan's 1980 presidential campaign.

Trump speaks in code to his supporters.

You do remember the Bob Dylan song....Ballad of a Thin Man?? The words of note.."Because something is happening here but you don't know what it is........Do you, Mr. Jones?

Mister Jones didn't know what the 60's were about....and people that are clueless about Trump don't understand "Make America Great Again".

During the Obama years as things were melting down for working folks across the entire country I talked to a guy hosting at a COE campground. He lamented, that for working folks things were never going to be as good as they were in his working life. He got lucky, his kids didn't.

It pretty much ended in the 1982 recession. Merle Haggard captured it in a song....with the key line

"before Nixon lied to all of us on TV"

Here is the song. Merle was optimistic in 1982.

It didn't work out....and in 2016 Trump got elected.

I think Bill Clinton also used Make America Great.

The Again part refers to a time when America was a power house of industry and energy while its people respected law and order, our shared heritage and history. Again was a time when people had a sense of humor and common sense. Again was a time for family, a bright future and an overall can do "let's get er done" attitude.

The only asterik next to MAGA is that it applies to ALL citizens and LEGAL immigrants. ILLEGAL immigrants need not apply but you can get in line and enter legally.

Again is a feeling of comfort, financial security and safety.

When Democrats were Democrats instead of lunatics.

Maybe back when we were still on the gold standard.

The time when white men could treat EVERYONE ELSE badly with as much caprice as desired without any consequence.

Conservative white males want their grandfather and great grandfather’s America back and they’ve proven that they’ll stop at nothing to get it.
