Well after 4 years of the media attacking him on everything it is a wonder that he will even sit down with a so called Journalist. They should be called Democrat operatives.
No matter how Trump answers a tough question he knows that his answer will be twisted and peddled to the masses as a negative.
Trump could have a cure for Covid, a real genuine cure and the headlines the next day would be "Trump puts Doctors out of Work" .
It is all about the spin these days.
Are you ok then with the president of the US not having to answer questions or have the American people knowing what he is doing?
Tough questions are exactly what the president should be prepared to answer.
Unadulterated BS.. No politician is asked "tough" questions, period.. The questioning of Trump, specifically, the point of calling scientists, "those idiots," deserves some actual scrutiny, you don't get a pass on how you speak publicly as a President..
but for whatever reason, Leslie wasn't composed enough to just ask "Why did you call Fauci a disaster, and why did you refer to others as 'idiots'?"
by the way, she also claimed in a question to Pence that Trump called Fauci an idiot.
In fact, his direct quote doesn't say the other task force members or any Covid health professionals are the idiots:
Quote:
"People are saying: 'Whatever. Just leave us alone.' They’re tired of it. People are tired of hearing Fauci and all these idiots,"
and, for what little it's worth, he said it on a (supposedly) private call among campaign staff. He didn't get up in public and say it.
Regardless, why was the question not "When you said "all these idiots" who were you referring to?"
