Right I mean public relations and answering tough questions when things go wrong is kind of one of the core responsibilities of a leader in any organization.

Leslie Stahl was obnoxious. She came into the interview determined to portray the president in the worst light possible. I couldn't believe it when she started to mock and laugh at his claims his campaign was spied upon. Either she is the most uniformed "journalist" or a coverup artist for the left. Probably both. It was sickening. I don't blame Trump for not continuing.

No matter how Trump answers a tough question he knows that his answer will be twisted and peddled to the masses as a negative.

Trump could have a cure for Covid, a real genuine cure and the headlines the next day would be "Trump puts Doctors out of Work" .

It is all about the spin these days.

And yet journalists are still kinder to him than he was to Obama. Obama was able to do it for 8 years and with a healthy sense of humor to boot.

Poor Trump - who would have thought you could accidentally stumble into the most scrutinized position in the world? We must treat him with kid gloves for making such an unintentional mistake!

The point of this thread was that Trump’s choice not to continue was ultimately not the result of Stahl, it was the result of Trump’s stated position at the top of the interview that he was not going to suffer tough questions. That cowardice is simply unacceptable in a POTUS. If he can’t handle an 80 year old American woman who might have an opposing viewpoint, how is he going to do the much more demanding work of POTUS that involves dealing with MUCH more nasty foreign adversaries?

Trump is such a coward. Tough questions scare him. That is why he restricts most appearnaces to the butt kissers at Fox.

Of course not that's why he prefers to go on Fox News. Where plenty of his sycophants will give him softballs and tell him how great he is.

Undoubtedly it is a consequence of his narcissistic personality disorder. He can't handle information that challenges his inflated ego. The guy needs to be in treatment.
