Your expectations are too high. I don't care who is president, there are limits on his/her authority spelled out in the constitution. He/she can't make something happen just because it was promised to supporters. The party ended with the democratic take over of the House. Elections have consequences as they say. Trump learned that lesson and his devotees need to as well.
What's to laugh at? He's actually compromising by opening the government back up and allowing talks about border security to take place within the next three weeks. When have Pelosi or Schumer compromised on this deal? They still won't either because they may talk but they won't compromise within the next three weeks. How could you have supported him? Were you not aware of the filthy reputation that preceded him? Did you think that he was born the day the campaigning began? OMG, his horrid business dealings were there for all to research. The scam that was Trump University was being publicized at the time. When someone shows you who they are...believe them.
