This situation shows Trump as the adult, and Pelosi is the spoiled child who always insists on her way. Next three weeks will be interesting. Trump called Shumers bluff, and now we'll how the democrat leaders "negotiate"

Madam Speaker knows an impostor when she sees one, and treated him accordingly. That is all.

You can try and spin it however you want, but the American People know better - and THEY overwhelmingly blame Trump.

Most American people only know what the MSM tells them to know.

Doesn't make it correct.

What a massive failure for Donald Trump. He shutdown the govt for 30+ days and opened it back up without getting ANYTHING he asked for.

Art of the Deal my butt. Haha!

And now Trump has ZERO leverage after reopening govt without getting his wall. So it he shuts it down again in 3 weeks, he will look like a fool.

I feel so sorry fortrump supporters, as they realize Trump is probably NOT going to deliver on his biggest campaign promise.

Laura Ingraham and Ann Coulter ripped Trump a new one for caving like a weak coward. Haha

Another Maga incel trying to ignore facts about the liar in chief. Not surprising..... Must be painful to have voted for the biggest wimp of all time

I read it this way...

Pelosi told Trump she will never meet with him to discuss the wall while the government is shut down. She thought she had the upper hand. Meanwhile, she cried crocodile tears for the poor workers who aren't getting paid (as if that were Trump's fault alone).

Trump called her bluff By opening the government up temporarily. He transferred the public pressure onto Pelosi (who had no problem with Obama's wall, btw.). She has to negotiate, or at least sit down and pretend to.

Trump isn't a fool. Nobody becomes a billionaire by being a fool. That wall will be built, with or without Pelosi's approval.
Fools are born into money all the time. I’m not sure why you think otherwise. Hell, Individual 1 is proof of that.

Also, Nancy’s decision to not negotiate with terrorists (which I-1 was being) is protecting me and other feds like me who will be subject to I-1’s shutdown whims for his entire term. If she gives in, he will do I again and again. Next time, it could be a full government shutdown, and I’d be impacted.

So, for this, I am very grateful for Nancy Pelosi’s decision.
